what a special treat for non-drum corps people !! for those of us in dc activity we already know what the sights & sounds of corps can do to move people in such a positive way !! the wall of sound does it again !! a sincere thank you to all of the scv organization for making this performance possible !!

As always....and I mean AS ALWAYS....you are an incredible asset to the marching arts here in southern California. Your documentation archives HISTORY....and I am VERY VERY appreciative of it. THANK YOU!

This is a Drum & Bugle Corp, it is 1 of the world class corps

They were really in 'block' formation (the horns)!!! As big as Santa Clara was they should have been spread out more. I marched in a many parades with a smaller corps and we were spread out more. It could have been a regulation by the parade committee. And man, they certainly had a huge contra line!! Certainly just for parade purposes. Wouldn't carry that many in a show. But all in all this is how marching and a corps should look like!!! Professional, at ease and stately for sure. Kudos SCV!!! Much appreciated. ✌🏾

Wow the brass was tight and there was a minimum of dirt in the percussion. Impressive! Maybe DCI should start taking parades more seriously. I'm disappointed in most of the vids of DCI corps in parades. This is where they are seen by a general public that may have no idea what a drum corps is.

30 tubas and one tenor? What madness is this? Did they combine the vanguard Cadets hornline with the regular corps?

Could you imagine what it would have been like, had they put two or three Color Pre's together from the late 60s and early 70s? Real, honest to God Gale Royer charts which blew the doors off the drum corps world.

It's always so sad to see an amazing Drum Corps stuck marching a parade. It's like putting a Kentucky Derby champion in a parade but only after loading him down like a pack mule and tying his legs together.

why no US flag at the front?

The arrangements that Santa Clara Vanguard while playing, it's typical of a brass band. A real drum and bugle Corp, would have different Arrangements that would be a lot more exciting. A real drum and bugle Corp would have the Drumline in front, brass bands typically put the drummers in the back. A real drum corpse also would not be hitting so many Rim shots, that's all DCI and DCA bands do today. And they play very very few rudiments. They drum sections today play stuff we would play as a warm-up. Don't take offense to anybody this is just my opinion I've been involved in the activity since the mid-fifties until today but although I don't watch too much today. Former member of the Long Island sunrises. And several other top Junior corpse, when I was under the age of 21.

Why can't any corps put some effort into a street performance? At least the color guard brought flags. ha ha

Old school sling snares for parade. Everybody is cranking tenor drums to sound like bongos and timbale. Boing boing rim shots. Somebody should mix it up and detune the tenor line. Give the drums some balls

it was cool meeting some of them at both bandfest and here, but tbh a couple of them were rude and kind of stuck up about being scv and being here which kind of killed it for me :/
