Love the jacknifing of the tender on the turntable. They used to do that for the Big Boys, but I wasn't aware of other engines doing it too

What luck we had historically that the 2 most awesome and beautiful Texans ever built actually got to work shoulder to shoulder with each other, at least for a short time. Stunning layout and models too.

Sandusky, Ohio was the destination of these SF 2-10-4s at the end of their useful lives. And, yes, they were coal haulers. Good stuff here as usual, Norm.

Although in completely different dimensions, style and eras, both this channel and Central Los Andes have definitely changed my concept of railroad modelling. Through them I've learnt that attention to detail has nothing to do with money (though it may help a lot), but with art itself. Neither space nor cash will ever give you the gift of an artistic observation of reality. Thanks a lot for such beautiful work!

Norm, this is yet one more stunning example of your master modeling and cinematographer skills! I love the weathering of your 5011 and rolling stock, the tremendous realism of your layout terrain, structures, and vehicles, and of course the sound effects. You have captured and frozen in time the nostalgic America of my youth, and preserved it for a modern audience to experience and appreciate in a way that old film footage and Winston Link stills can't.

This is an incredibly detailed project that captures realism on a grand scale. The lighting quality appears as true daylight with correct shadow angles. A mind boggling effort of a lifetime.

One of the most beautiful 3 rail layouts you will ever see! Simply magnificent.

Love the attention to detail here, the weathering of the trains and cars, the weathering of all the structures, right down the the rust on the barrels. Not to mention the aged stains on the concrete and even the simple cracks in the concrete. Very, Very lifelike ..

Absolutely gorgeous! The ATSF 2-10-4 Texas type is a beast! I am a fan of the PRR J1, but the ATSF steamer is a monster. Agreed 100%: your weathering skills are second to none.

Such a beautiful layout! Would love to see some scenery videos, processes and products used to create a scene and landscaping. Enjoyed your shop build! Came out great!

I appreciate the same run by from slightly different angles. It gives us viewers sort of a taste of all the different angles you have seen. The level of detail on this scope must be seen from every vantage point. Well done video.

I loved that fact we saw both a Santa Fe 5011 class and a Pennsylvania J-1 class two awesome classes of the Texas type locomotive

That's one nice O three rail layout. You really nailed the sound on the 2-10-4, deep strong exhaust, perfect whistle and air pumps just a great overall job.
