Watch in 4K! In December of 2021, the Albany & Eastern Railroad ran their "Santiam Excursion Trains" in Lebanon, Oregon. This years excursion was extra special, with the public debut of the restored Santa Maria Valley #205. Built by Baldwin in 1924, this 2-6-2 locomotive is finally back under steam after sitting nearly 70 years dormant. Great looking locomotive... a great job done on the restoration, and congratulations to all involved!
In addition to the 205, the AERC 1866 was on the North end of the excursion consist. This EMD SW1200r was recently repainted into its bicentennial paint scheme from 1976, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States. First time seeing this switcher, looks really sharp!
