My mom passed away in June and so it's just my dad and I. We're not celebrating Christmas this year because that wound is still too fresh and Christmas was my mom's favorite holiday. If she was still here our house would've been decorated all around, the tree would've been up, our front yard would've had tons of props and lights, there would be Christmas carols playing all day, and the house would be filled with the aroma of her cooking. Today, none of that is happening. My dad doesn't even want to hear Merry Christmas. On top of that, I'm 6 months pregnant with my first child, the father isn't in the picture, and I was my mom's only girl, so I don't have any close female family members to talk to. This has been a horrible year for us. But watching this video, especially Jared at the end, has made me feel better. You have an awesome family. Merry Christmas to you all.

I don't usually cry watching these, or even comment much (but I do like the videos!) but this vlog meant the world to me. I have Lupus and became very sick with an infection this week and was unable to spend my Christmas Eve with my Grandmother and family for the first time in the 25 years that I've been alive. It absolutely broke my heart. But you guys reminded me how important family is, and that means keeping my elderly and immunocompromised family safe from my illness. I'll get to see my family once I'm no longer contagious, but a lot of people don't have even that luxury. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being one of the most genuine, loving, and Christian families, not only on KZfaq, but that I have ever seen. You touch a lot of lives. Merry Christmas! You've made this heart glad this Christmas.

Thank you Ellie and Jared for being so caring and compassionate. Since my Grandad passed 5 years ago Christmas has never been the same. It's become especially tough this year as I've been diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. At the age of 20 I am having to learn my life will never be the same and I will live in constant pain and exhaustion. But really, you guys have shown me a side of Christmas I have rarely seen. No fighting, no family drama, no ridiculous amount of presents. Just gifts that mean a lot and Family that means the most. I hope if I get to have my own family one day, it will be as loving and compassionate as yours. I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. Thank you Jared for making me cry like a baby lol. Ellie and Jared have shown so much what the true meaning of Christmas is. The ending of todays Vlog will touch so many lives and it will mean more to them than any gift under the tree. After watching the video the other day, I realized just how inspiring you both really are. I went to my bank and withdrew some money, went and bought some Christmas cards and done the same thing. That was the most fun I have had in a long time. It may not have been much, but it sure meant the world to those I gave the cards to. One lady cried and thanked me for giving her the chance to put a Christmas dinner on the table for her children. Knowing that the amount I gave her wouldn't be enough, I kinda followed her to the store. Went to find a manager and explained the situation to her and purchased a gift card for this lady for her groceries. A random act of kindness goes a long way. Thank you so much Ellie and Jared for inspiring me to do something like that. I plan to do this every year from now on. Not just at Christmas time either. MERRY CHRISTMAS ELLIE, JARED, JACKSON, AND CALVIN!!!!!

Due to various reasons, I was alone again this Christmas, I still decorate my home- two Christmas trees, buy gifts, and go to Church -as a volunteer usher on Christmas Eve. I make a nice Christmas dinner even if only for myself or a friend. Watching this video my memories of my family in years past come rushing forward and tore at my heartstrings. I rarely let myself go there as it is painful. I knew from last year that you would have an emotional ending. Many thanks for making this video. It is good to see families that are enjoying each other and having fun together at Christmas. It gives me hope for the future.

Thank you Jared and Ellie for letting me be a part of your family for Christmas this year. I unfortunately am spending the holidays alone this year and it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have been a bit of a scrooge because I know what it's like to have a family to share it with but I no longer have that. it has been you guys and Bonnie and Joel and your families that have gotten me through and made me feel like I'm not alone. Jared, you always make me tear up! my husband and I are a military family and have only made it home once in 5 years for Christmas. it's hard to not be home while our family gets together and celebrates, it does make me a little home sick... but Chris and I have found ways to celebrate together, and we always make sure to call our families to tell them merry Christmas and to share everything we got together. this year we are celebrating in California, last year was South Carolina, and 3 years before that was North Carolina. it's so nice to see how genuine you and your family are! your emotions get me every time!

Ellie, Jared, Jackson and Calvin, you are the sweetest family on the Internet! I am 11 years old and I have an older sister that passed away when she was born and every year on Christmas I think about how lucky I am to be here because if she had survived, I wouldn't be here. (because my parents only wanted to have 3 kids.) My parents always tell me how lucky they are that they did have me and it makes mr feel so greatful. Jared you really are the sweetest man and it made me cry watching you get so emotional. thank you for letting us have a look during your family holidays, and considering us as family too. I personally love watching your family having fun this time of year, it gives me a warm feeling and peace of mind that this still exists. don't get me wrong, I love my family members, but we are not a family anymore. my parents are not on speaking terms anymore, my brother is batteling depression and recovering from a kidney transplant, given by our dad. my grandparents are never around anymore.
