How ironic that I see these comments here; I just came from another movie where somebody was complaining that THAT movie was some sort of Marxist conspiracy (??) or something like that. Ye gods ... it's JUST A MOVIE...

people have a right to express their dislike, and this is not a good movie imo, i skipped thru and it got worse instead of better. if some people are amused by quite a bad movie, good for them, you dont see people attacking their opinions of it, so what gives you the right to denounce any negative reviews of it? its bad and deserves it and you have zero right to try to squelch any opinion if you disagree with it.

Which "improbabilities"? Like: 1. Finding how to put 7 motorhomes full of people into 7 cars that are already filled up with people? 2. The 99999999999999.99% chance a meteorite landing on a mine shaft front door AND just when you wanted to enter through it. 3. How you can use ONLY a large hand full of fireworks to blow away 5 or 10 tons of large boulder rocks. Yea, this is a typical poorly-written 3rd rate movie 😞

Thanks for the people who's make it possible for us to see. We find it fore sure much more enjoyable fan the ones of today. The technology make everything much better in lots of different ways but the story itself of this time when this movie be made was must better. Instead of breaking your spirit it live it up. Open to all ages.

I watched it for the American. I remember Tom Wompat from his Dukes of Hazard days.

Knew right away the accents were off.

You could tell the daughter UFO queen was Aussie. Plus the terrain didn’t look American to me.

If any of you have ever traveled around the US, then you will have heard different accents. The South, the Midwest, the West, and the Northern states. Folks everyone of them are Americans, hearing these people talk, didn't sound any different than any of us Americans, by the way, the man playing John Whitehorse is an Indian, but he was born in another country. Driving an 18 wheeler cross country you get to meet different people and hear different accents, it is an experience which I really enjoyed. I live in Texas, and in parts of this state you will hear accents which in some cases may sound funny. Oh yeah, don't forget that we have deserts and all varieties of landscapes too. 😅😅😅😅

@@MrBurninCross A little while a go a UFO shot down a HUGE metor FOR REAL !! It saved a whole town in Russia. Course the general media couldn't come out with that but what else could have saved the town? It was a huge silver UFO. UFOs really like military bases also. I spent 14 yrs in the Army, I know cause me and other soliders saw them.

I agree with you. Everybody has their own taste. Sometimes the love or enjoyment of a movie can be a personal thing, something to bring back memories etc. Also movies are are a good way to escape mundane everyday life.

The thing with these disaster movies is the quality of the acting but mainly how we can see ourselves in these characters who we feel a connection to? If we care about the people, the families, then the movie is so much more enjoyable. A whole bunch of muscled up dudes with massive firepower swearing all the time has no attraction to me at all but ordinary looking guys doing extraordinary things make it real in an also more complex plot. 😊💖

Critics are never right,its just whether they like it or not,who cares if they don"t like a movie i most always like what they don"t,this has over 2 million views because people are sick to death of what Hollywood ect are cranking out today.

I personally keep a very large terrarium full of frogs just in case the neighborhood is ever attacked by a horde of lonely princesses. Releasing the frogs so the crazed women can chase them and try turning them into princes by way of kissing will give the entire neighborhood a chance to escape.

@@luthermcgee432 its a made for tv movie, so its just par for the course, low budget low brow fodder. These, like most television productions, are made by big studios at the lowest cost possible in order to maximize profit. Still Hollywood, just 20 years removed from the present.

There are thousands upon thousands of "old" movies. Please admit this movie is terrible yet nostalgic for you. If you do like "old" movies, can't believe late 90's is old, to you, get TCM.
