Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZfaq, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZfaq. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZfaq, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Yes, us older folks in our 60s and 70s used to party with this album (Abraxis) and the music was, then, and still is, just wonderful. Just listening to a certain song, transports you back to a different time. Music really is a time machine, no matter what genre you like. If you grew up listening to Country Western, it still applies to you as well. My parents grew up in the World War II (1940s) era, and when a "Big Band" Swing tune came on, they perked right up, and all of a sudden, they were 18 years old again, and my dad was in the Marine Corps. Thanks Shawn, this channel makes more people happy than you'll ever know.

This was good, but the original studio recording is the one we all remember.

This song is bittersweet for me. Two weeks before my brother passed from cancer I loaded him up in my car and we drove to the beach. He was the biggest Santana fan. We saw Santana many times. On the way to the beach, with the sun shining on our faces this song played loud. We both had the biggest smiles on our faces while rocking to this song. It was the most perfect and calming ride in a long time. My mother was even bumping in the back seat. Its a memory I keep close to my heart of my brother. I miss him so much. Great reaction.

Carlos is one of those guitarists who you recognize from just a few notes. I saw him perform at an anti-nukes rally in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco in the 80s. We love Carlos here!

Admirable C. Santana! From minute 7:15, he plays chords from George Benson's song "Breezin' ", which means that he admires this inmense guitarist, who, in turn, admires Wes Montgomery..! Great reaction!

One of my favorite Santana tunes. Abraxas is a great LP. ✌️❤️🎶

The Abraxis Album could be found in everybody's collection in the 60s & 70s, along with his first release, 'Santana', and Santana 111. His fourth album (my favorite), 'Caravanserai,' is a studio album with a more instrumental, progressive jazz fusion direction. It was ahead of its time but now has been critically acclaimed as a masterpiece. Thanks for the Santana: Great commentary.

I cut my musical teeth in Miami very much under the influence of Latin rhythms. I sooooo love the percussion synchopation - congas, timbales, guirro, bongos... the feed my soul.

A Samba for you. Beautiful song off of(imo)their finest album, Abraxas. Incident at Neshabur is another great one. Santana's entire concert from Tanglewood in 1970, shortly after this album was released is worth the watch here on yt.

I saw Santana live a couple of times in the 70's, and they were great, but the '70 Tanglewood set is full of all-time great performances! I think they did Soul Sacrifice better at Tanglewood than the Woodstock performance.

So perfect for Sunday afternoon, wow. Carlos and his beautiful PRS guitar. I first became aware of Santana from Woodstock then this came out and became a huge fan of Carlos. Thank you Shawn for a great reaction. Happy Sunday. Oh yes and chair dancing.

you need to hear his studio version of the zombies, she’s not there. Also, another instrumental from him is called Europa definitely the studio version.

Thank you for this! I've always been a fan of Santana! About 13 years ago, my late husband and I were in a delicatessen in Lithia Springs, GA. They were playing a DVD of Santana (the one that had Rob Thomas doing Smooth). He stopped in the middle of placing our order so he could watch Oye Como Va. That afternoon, we went out and bought a Blu-ray player and the Blu-ray disc as well. Watched it 3 times that night! Santana makes me think of my late husband. ❤😢

Back in the day, we heard the studio version from either on the radio or at a friends house. I am radio sound wasn’t great FM radio was fantastic also in stereo or hopefully somebody you knew had a hi-fi stereo Soundsystem with a turntable.

There are many versions of this where he changes the back end of the song. This version is different from the original studio recording. You can find others on his live albums or concerts on dvd. There’s a version with Spanish lyrics with Carlos and Jose Faliciano on acoustic guitar which I highly recommend.

I like Santana's song "Smooth" with Rob Thomas; Santana also covered an excellent tune from the Canadian Ian Thomas Band called "Hold On".

Been away for quite a while and am catching up. You are really getting these great classics. Santana moved me when first hearing him in college......and still does. (50 yrs later) ABRAXAS is one great album!

This version does you the favor of keeping it going. The studio version is great, but screams to be extended like this. There is also a version of this with lyrics, which blew my mind. I was one of the throngs who had the album on serious rotation back in the day. Roll the dice. All the songs are great. Gracias!

@@User_vjp_92753 Mr. Salvadori needs to score a copy for himself. There is nothing like hearing in toto. In fact, Toto's name might have been Salvadori...I mean the one in "Cinema Paradiso" and not "Wizard of Oz". Two outstanding movies. One Toto outstanding because of the storm, and the other Toto outstanding because of the storms of love. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j7hliLZ52pyoZok.htmlsi=6cfAzEP-8dhymB2I

Santana is a Latin rock band formed in 1966 by Mexican-American guitarist & songwriter Carlos Santana. They had a lot of great songs & instrumental rock tracks over the years such as "Jingo", "Evil Ways", "Black Magic Woman", "Soul Sacrifice", "Oye Coma Va", "Everybody's Everything", "The Game Of Love", "Hope You're Feeling Better" etc. The song "Smooth" & "Maria Maria" were done later in 1999 & rejuvenated the career of Santana.

Caravanserai to me is the masterpiece, but the sound was more fusion tha rock. The record with the Mahavishnu gets too little reaction lol. Carlos and John with Billy Cobham -A Life Divine. The live album from Japan Lotus. It’s the old story -the record company did not hear a single but trust me on this Caravanserai, Welcome, Lotus, Barboletta, and Love, Devotion, and Surrender are peak Santana fusion
