AWESOME ADVICE!! Those 25 min Pomodoro never works for me. When there's a break, i felt being interrupted. And if I do take a break, it's hard to start again. Could you also do a motivational video of how to maintain a healthy life during long test prep? Like i know I need to work out, but I always don't have the motivation for it. But med school really has been given me back pain

When I find I lack motivation to workout, I just start doing it anyways. Usually within a few minutes I start to get motivated and that further increases the intensity of my workout and the quality. Same thing with doing questions and studying. If I just basically slap myself in the face or jump in whether I feel like it or not, within a few minutes, I usually feel like I’m focused in. Caught myself trying to always rely on motivation or feel like doing the work to actually do it, and do it at a high level. Once, I made the decision to dig in, I realized that laziness I felt was just temporary more often than not, and if I just moved or did what I needed to do, the momentum would start to build.

Amazing Recommendations! Thanks for helping us! Sometimes it is great to hear everything in English, but on the other hand, you want to hear your mother tongue! Even so, it is necessary to change our chip! Yay, if we want to study in another country things as small as these make a difference in our language skills that will allow us a better development in our life. Great job Santiago! 2022 Match here I go!!!! :)

Glad to hear it! For me, it really depends on the type of music. I do use “concentration” music every now and then and it helps. But anything with lyrics just makes me wanna sing along, and let’s just say that’s not ideal for performance 😂

What do you think about doing 2 blocks of study with lunch break in between then a work out, diner and then go back to study for 2 hours more? 😅 you know that I found out that my focus time is not in the morning according to my chronotype; I am a wolf. What do you think about that subject? It states that there is a best time to do certain things along the day. I would like to know your opinion about this.

What time of the day do you start studying and how does it actually look like? This video looks like it’s giving some vague advise.. but it would be helpful and would make much more sense if you can possibly share one of your study time table.. the time of the day when you take breaks.. and how are your study sessions planned for the whole day! Please do share it so we can all have a better idea and learn and implement more from such videos. Thank you for sharing a great content so far!!!
@drjankee3 жыл бұрын
Also you mentioned not to get into creative activity during the break sessions.. then what type of activity do you suggest that will prevent the mind to wander so much and also be helpful in getting back to studies.. please give some examples and it would be helpful! Thank you!
@SantiagoAQ3 жыл бұрын
Hey Janki, I usually woke up at 7am and started studying immediately (Quite literally I woke up, grabbed my PC and started doing questions... it helped to remove the friction of starting). I then kept going all morning, had lunch around 1pm (still studying). I finished around 2-3pm and went ahead to enjoy the rest of my day. During the days I needed to study longer I usually woke up at 6, scheduled a break to train and have lunch from 1-3pm, and then continue to study (Usually up to 8pm)
@SantiagoAQ3 жыл бұрын
As for activities during breaks: that's gonna depend mostly on you. I personally found that the following activities allowed me to come back to study effortlessly: Hitting the gym, meditating, stretching, going for a walk/run, eating, and watching an intellectual podcast (Entertaining funny ones just started a loophole of procrastination for me)
