yeah, the original first edition printing had the base, but for some reason, the 2nd edition doesn't have it, which is a real shame! :(

+Chantal Noordeloos it is pretty conflict-ey, no doubt, and i thought we wouldn't like it for that reason, but it's so fast and the overall presentation is so crazy good thta we could overlook our anti-fighting bias :)

+rahdo I backed it on Kickstarter. I think it will be the same for us. There is the occasional game where there is some conflict, that we actually enjoy. I'm pretty sure this will be one of them. (Also, I'm shallow and this is very pretty)

Can you please tell me where in the rules says that any gods powers that refers to floors do not include domes? What I see in the rules for the gods is this: "Domes are not blocks. If the God Power description states it affects blocks, it does not affect domes." Demeter's power says: "Your Build: Your Worker may build one additional time, but not on the same space." So Demeter's power doesn't refer to blocks or floors, it just says you can build a second time, so I don't see, by this why you can't build 2 Domes with this god... For example, Hephaestus power says: "Your Build: Your Worker may build one additional block (not dome) on top of your first block." Going by this description, if you were prohibited of building domes with Demeter it would say so in the description of his power, since it doesn't say I would say it's allowed

Absolutely correct. Today was my first time playing the game (by myself - to get a chance to learn the rules quietly), and when I started messing around with the gods (the starting ones, as the game suggests), I thought that any building ability was refering to blocks and not domes. That's why I posted the question here, to make sure I'm right (or wrong). Once I took a further look at the "Advanced gods" - I understood that some descriptions actually state that that particular power affects blocks specifically. So yeah, Demeter's power does not fall into that category, and therefore, there's no problem with her building two domes in a raw. By the way - some gods are VERY imbalanced. Do you have any clue if the expansion fixes some of these issues?

+Paulo Renato On the game board, the graphics shows walls between the squares. Between some squares there are openings, while between other squares you can see a still solid wall. So I guess the question is whenever your workers can move 100% freely in any directions on the ground, or if the walls that are drawn on the game board restricts the movement.

+Runeclaw Ah... I think those are just for flavor, they don't restric movement... at least on the KS Page the example they have for moving as the meeple jumping one of those drawings

I'm almost positive those "walls" are just there to illustrate the game grid in an aesthetically thematic manner. Whether or no there is a break in the wall makes no difference, the player pieces can move through them regardless.

you should contact the publisher, becuase the final retail version does have a water board, and sounds like you're wasn't packaged correctly...

oh no, i'm sorry to hear that. i had no idea! what i'd do is contact the original publisher, roxley, and ask if they'll release the art for the original water board. then it would be easy to make your own printout, maybe even on to mouse pad material or something like that...

Ya rahdo many on bgg have asked but roxley games is silent on it which leads some to believe that they plan on releasing it as an add on.

+Jonas Breindahl your opponent can easily stay on the ground and prevent you from moving up 3 times in a row by building where you plan to go up so tall that you can't do it.
