My grandfather enlisted in Maharaj's Army back in 1944 when he was just 14 years old. He used to recount to us that, at that time, his uniform was too large for his frame, and his shoes were bigger than his feet. He actively participated in both the 1948 and 1965 Indo-Pak wars. After Nehru's decision to halt the 1948 war, some of our soldiers, who had already advanced near Muzaffarabad, had to remain in Pakistan, and my grandfather was among them. He spent a month there, and during this time, he was declared deceased. However, my great grandmother had a strong belief that he was still alive, and remarkably, her instincts proved correct. Subsequently, he became part of the Indian Army following J&K's merger with India. His views were similar to this officer, and, being a Dogra, I possess deeper insights into the on-ground realities.

Col.Raina your submission of Nehru's suicidal decision to stop forces from pushing in from Uri on 10th January brings goosebumps. My late father was part of the young Indian soldiers equipped with kukris among other weapons eagerly waiting to attack.. Alas didn't happen and we inherited today's huge Kashmir problem... Dislike for Nehru due to this is among scores of 90yrs + Bharatiyas.

I am a Kashmiri pandit myself and what saddens me is the current state of Hindu youth especially in my own state, be it a dogra or kashmiri. During my childhood i once had to wait for my father near Rajinder Park which made me curious to read about who this man was and I was amazed and disheartened to realize that very few of my classmates knew about him. Somehow i got one copy of the order by Maharaja Hari Singh which Colonel Raina talked about (Last man standing) and i swear before man and god, I had goosebumps while reading that.

It is a normal urge for any well meaning man to protect women from his own community, it's genetically ingrained to protect the gene pool of that community. When outsiders invade it is their main target is to rape women of that invaded land to break morals of the men of that land or area or community so that they cannot put up a front and surrender to the invaders!! Yes, women are a given casualty of War.

In all of Indian history I see one thing common is no unity amongst people. That's why the British won comfortably. Biggest reason for the failure of 1857 revolution was no one supported the sepoys when they rebelled. The Sikhs, Gurkhas and Dogras fought for the British. They fought for them again in first world war 1914-18 and then again in the second world war. So when you are yourself willing to be a slave to your master then where is the fight for independence.

As a Pakistani born, I totally agree with your comments, however, one should understand that India was never a unified country or a federation except the last 100 years of British rule. Again, the present boundaries of India is even larger than the British empire with the inclusion and amalgamation of States and princely areas. The reasons for Dogras, Sikhs and others fighting for Britishers was simple: they needed jobs food and money for their families. The Britishers still come to Nepal to recruit Gurkhas for the British army. During the US civil war, which was fought on the basis of slavery, the Balacks even joined the Confederate forces which was fighting against the Federal forces to preserve the institution of slavery.

Good points by Col Raina Sahib but I would like to add that the Sikhs of Kashmir also fought side by side the army and even before their arrival especially at Satarna(Baramulla) , Choora, Icchama, Attina and Kanihama. 6000 Sikhs got killed by the Tribals in Baramulla and Muzaffrabad and those who survived still rever Brig Rajinder Singh and Col Rajinder Singh Rai. But it’s really painful to see that Colonel sahab has absolutely not mentioned even one bit about the sacrifices of Kashmiri Sikhs

India is defined by Hindus (Bharat based religions). No doubt Muslims and christians have sacrificed for this land before and after independence but their (especially of Muslims) love and commitment for this land is more an exception than a norm. If we wish to secure our territory then Hindus must be majority on all our borders and this must be achieved one way or another, howsoever cruel it is. If we fail to do this out of some impractical notion then our future generations will just be left with a much smaller Bharat map inside even more hopeless Akhand Bharat map.

Hindus are just free loaders and more than 70 percent of them they had sold themselves in the past are still selling themselves and will sell themselves in futures , that's why people ruled for more than 800 years on us because we have moles in our society until and unless people don't understand that reservation is a failed system which is just hampering the growth of nation and leading to brain drain and politicians with communist and socialist training are just using it as tool to divide Hindus for there vote bank and there could be alot more better systems for improving status of common man there is no hope for our nation regardless of whatever jumlabaazi we do of akhand bharat and bharat ek vishwaguru leftist and divisive elements will need to just float one false narrative and lies which they are repeating from years or create new one and most of the people will follow it blindly that's how low we have felt as a society intellectually and morally.

Arihant, Your reading of the book from the author actually excites them to discuss about their book which makes this podcast conversations more interesting. Great job. On Rainaji, Thank you for your service to this nation beyond. We need to make these narratives mainstream. Jinnah being Brit operative with documented proof is a revelation to me. Kashmir problem being carefully crafted by Brits was another. We need to get our land back.

I request Col. Saab to throw some light on money demanded by Ziyarat Naqshband management from Maharaja's administration for allotting space for burial of so called martyrs of 1931.
