SANYO M6900 Mini Boombox Bluetooth Mod

I like this type of the small and cute one. It only has FM stereo/AM radio, one cassette deck. The beauty of the simpleness.
In order to make this one as the Bluetooth speaker, this time I tried a different method to remove the ground-loop noise.
For the Bluetooth mod, first I need to find the signal input point, then I need to reduce the power source to 5V. And finally I need to remove the ground-loop noise.
So far I used MPOW ground-loop noise eliminator between the Bluetooth receiver and signal input point. This time I used the DC isolated converter along with 47uH inductor + 4.7uf capacitor. It simple, but worked well. I learned this method from other youtuber video.
Here is a drawing for the wiring. (I misspelled "Lenear", correct word is "Linear".)

Bluetooth 4.0 or above has the strong signal that will make a distortion to this type of small one. So I needed to adjust the Bluetooth signal input level by resistor. I used slide potentiometer to adjust the input level, then I replaced it with resistors for L and R. No need for the ground.

Really great job, like it. I have some question, maybe you can answer them? 1)You are saying, that you are using a DC isolated converter. Would it be also possible to use a module, which can stepdown voltage and is isolated at once? 2) What is the purpose for 47uH inductor + 4.7uf capacitor? Is this circuit usable only for your radio or in general? I have a JVC RV NB1 and would like to add an internetradio to it. Internetradio needs 5V with max. 1.2A. So could I use the 47uH inductor + 4.7uf capacitor circuit also for my case? Thank you

The inductor and capacitor are for reducing the output ripple effect. You can use step down module then DC-DC isolator, it should work. All you need to have is isolated 5 v power supply to your internetradio unit. The reason I use DC-DC isolator is removing the noise from ground-loop.

Sir, you are an inspiration! I am now trying my hand at it. Learning is costly though(failures). One question, I notice you don't appear to mess with the Electrolytic Caps..many would have to be out of spec, why do you not replace them?

Hi, Michael. Thank you for the comment and question. All I do is complete cleaning the boombox including the contact of the pods and variety of switches. But you can see clearly that only the cleaning up the dirty pods and switches will revive the boombox sounds. If there is the huge difference between the left and right speaker sound, I may need to replace some of the caps and other electronic parts for its best performance. But mostly what I found was they were still in good playing condition. So that is the reason I did not mess up with caps and others.

Bluetooth is crap nor does it have audio equalizer right from the way you take the originality of the old stereo and the sanyo brand is very good and has high fidelity quality now bluetooth is just imitation of radio goes in good I did not like it got a crap
