A little FYI. The company who manufactures the body camera has it set up so that the volume can not be lowered and the officer can not control the power of the unit. The police tech department purposely reprogram the units after buying them for the sole purpose of allowing free control. Now, why would they do this? After a shooting police officers are place on administrative leave. Something as little as a complaint has to go not only through the department the officer is in but then through all of their superiors so there is literally no conflict of interest at all. Especially with something as unbelievable as a police shooting.
