Emerald/Sapphire has been my baby this set. I'd reccomend 6 drop Gaston as he's a floodborn and draws a card which creates instant advantage if you force a discard Let it go to go along with with Hades has been really important to late game find to buy me a turn Also under the sea as a 2x has had a lot of success against emerald mirrors

I've been looking for a way to blend these two colors together! Emerald is my favorite color and 'm loving the Sapphire cards in this set. Personally, I would like to replace Donald with Helga Sinclair Femme Fatale or the Belle Hidden Archer just to disrupt the opponent a little bit more. I know they are both un-inkable, but I think they are good Floodborn options with good lore count. If not, then Aurora Lore Guardian could be good since it stops your opponent from hitting your items.

Been testing this and some alternates somewhere around 100 games or so over the last couple days. I’m starting to notice that for ramping options in the 3 ink slot, Heihei seems to be going better than Stone Dragon or FBQ. Since this mix lacks a lot of lower end removal, board presence becomes very important. Playing Heihei on turn 3 (On the draw) and inking still sets you up for a 5 ink character on turn 4 but also gives you an option for lore gain. Additionally, right now it feels like Olaf Carrot Enthusiast > Cri Kre or however it’s spelled. Pound for pound I’ve gotten a lot of usage out of Olaf over the Cricket and it’s another 3 ink floodborn. Haven’t tested using the 4 ink Mrs. Judson (Floodborn = Top card inkwell exerted) for a passive ramp system but that’s next. Also, I’ve honestly ditched the pawpcicles and Hiram. When you try to go for the ramping that that + FBQ provide you don’t get as much bang top end like Ruby does from it. They can pivot quickly to board pressure but this deck really can’t very easily if your opponent either floods the board or provides a lot of better trade removal.

I definitely feel like this pairing is right at the edge. It's not quite there yet but it can be soon.

How do you feel about 3cost mickey? For the turn 3 ramp and body

Any thoughts on something other than Diablo? I think my son is using it in a Steel Emerald build-out, and only have one place set.
