Chantaburi Trip! Day 2nd Highlights….. As a part of the realistic learning approach, AIGS - Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences arranged a field trip to Chantaburi, The Gemstones City of Thailand. On day 2nd we visited Sapphire Heating Facility. The facility is specialized in High Temperature Standard Heat of Sapphires (No Be, Flux or Glass) . We have have observed the heating process of a sapphire parcel at 1400 Centigrade. The facility management explained all the steps in details, sorting after heating and cutting as well.
