This same thing happened to me at the grands in 94...1st and 2nd collided hard on a corner, I was in 3rd... needless to say, I left Oklahoma with a trophy taller than me! 😊

I wonder where is "Richie the AVALANCHE" Anderson he was a longtime factory rider for PattersonRacing. The guy straight up dominated my age group as a youngster. Definitely a legend in BMX racing.

@@garrettjohnson6896 his negligence took him out though it was pretty obvious his approach would make contact that’s why it’s dirty. Was like he nudged him with. A close pass that was full on contact to try and shut him out. If you did that in cars it would be a big no no

@@icebox829 But this isn't cars, this is BMX. People make insane contact all the time in the sport, that's just how it is. Did the pass have a good shot of working out? No, not really. But it doesn't matter, he went for the pass, but it didn't work out. Dirty racing would be to intentionally take someone out which he did not. Ask anyone in the sport, and they will tell you the same.

You know, green makes the inside pass PROPERLY on the first turn, but I've watched it back several times and I'd say green lost speed coming into the last turn and they converged because green couldn't hold a wider line. I'd really say it's both guys' faults. Edit: I take it back, I think red loses control into the last turn and actually rides up the bank into green's lane
