Admitting she was surprised by reports that the Office of the Vice President spent its P125 million confidential funds in a matter of 19 days in December 2022, House appropriations vice chair Stella Quimbo reveals that the amount was, in fact, spent in a span of 11 days, citing COA records.

The money of the Filipino people should be valued with accountability, transparency and integrity because these are coming from the taxes that are being paid by the people. Sara Duterte should be accountable on how she spent the money within 11 days. Its a huge shame on her part especially this time of inflation that the Filipino people suffered.

That was Christmastime of December 2022, the days of gift-giving. Thus, Sara Duterte Machiavellian that she is, probably and perhaps was driven by the great compulsion to dispense Christmas gifts. Thus, would it be possible that Sara deemed it best to award Christmas gifts in the form of cash to congressmen and senators loyal to her and her father and to other "neutral" ones who could be swayed to transfer allegiance to her? Could it be possible that Sara gave away Christmas gifts in the form of cash in that December of 2022 and felt certain that that can't be traced because anyhow, these are "confidential funds" and she cannot be compelled to divulge because these are confidential or secret? Another thing, why is Sara so cocksure that the congressmen will give her confidential/intel funds to the extent of saying "bahala na ang mga congressmen sa kanyang CIF funds". There's a lack of accountability and transparency. Yet, some people blindly accept these delusions, believing the leader they support is doing well. They request substantial funds that aren't utilized and aren't audited by the COA. The President doesn't even have a say in this. If the OVP can't disclose how she spent 125 million in 11 days, and experts and people in relevant positions have already declared that the money was not used, why can't the OVP provide a detailed explanation? Does the OVP think she can just get away with it? This is one of the worst administrations when it comes to financial management.

People can't be blamed for feeling disappointed when they see where their taxes are going, and they have every right to voice concerns. The claim is that the confidential fund of 125 million is for surveillance. Given that there are experts in the government who manage this, why would the VP request these funds for herself? Even the Senate is baffled and suggests letting the experts handle it.The core issue here is why the VP would request such a sum, only to later claim it's for her office when it's allocated for Intelligence. This 125 million confidential fund dates back to 2022, and her request for even more seems unreasonable. She's also seeking confidential funds for the Department of Education but lacks transparency, even when these funds are purportedly for public use. Her responses to questions are often evasive. If she were truly transparent and honest, answering these questions directly wouldn't be an issue. What's more baffling is the claim that the money was spent in 19 days, but a review by the COA shows it was 11 days. Where is the lie? It's just plain ridiculous.
