This song is average junk. Listen to Way Back When by Buckethead.
@jameslatimer70242 жыл бұрын
@@xiyx9748 I've never heard of Buckethead before. I listened to that song (if you want to call it a song). I found it very simplistic, repetitive, and juvenile, and I didn't hear anything in it that impressed me at all, and certainly nothing that a seven year-old, beginner guitar player couldn't pull off in about 5 minutes. When I say it sucked, that's really an understatement. On the other hand, it takes actual talent to write, play, and sing a song like the Sarah Jarosz song we're commenting on here. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could say that it was "average junk", with a straight face. I guess we all have different tastes. As someone who's been writing and playing music for now 35 years, I can say without question, hesitation, or reservation, that yours sucks, if you don't like this song, and you do like the Buckethead song. Nothing personal. Just a difference of opinion...and obviously, a difference of experience. 😎🎸

Build me up from bones Wrap me up in skin Hold me close enough to breathe me in The moon's a fingernail Scratching on the back Of the night in which we lay beside I held every inch of you I wrote every line for you I made time when time was all but gone You're the love I've always known The night's so dark and grey But you've helped me find my way Through the wild and wonders of this world So take me with you now I need to show you how I can love you better than before I held every inch of you I wrote every line for you I made time when time was all but gone You're the love I've always known Play it sweet and low We've got no where to go I am yours and you're the love I know

Whoa. I didn't even notice that. She's not playing a guitar! She's playing a huge mandolin, then?
@stimpsonjcat67 Жыл бұрын
@@BrettWyrick The scale (distance from nut to saddle) for a 'normal' mandolin is 13". Octave mandolins can be from 19" to 24". So yeah, huge. The extra length drops the frequencies. I think the Fletcher Brock is perfect for her voice.

I stopped what I was doing and asked what is this beautiful song? It has a wonderful melody, very good lyrics, and overall good feeling about it.
