This was great. So easy to watch. Both lovely confident people seemingly enjoying themselves. Nowadays chat shows are only about the presenter and their own ego and guests who have nothing interesting to say

@@savage_skirt5386 she's an aires/areis/arjerk/etc.....they do what they want, when they want...and they MAKE it really uncomfortable to even say anything against them, let alone do anything about it.....they can choke the atmosphere around them to achieve this....

I just watched an interview where Sarah Jessica said they started filming the pilot in ‘97 so Sex and the City didn’t even exist yet.

@@wellofcire she was referring to Matthew Broderick, who was Sarah Jessica Parker's boyfriend at the time (they married since and are still together today). As the segment showcased, SJP and Broderick were both on Broadway together for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (the "play" the OP was referring to). She replaced Megan Mullally as Rosemary towards the very end of the run.

@@andrewtaylor9799 yes....and so much more yes....cagey cagey....the way rosie said bwuh bwuh i love that part after the bob hope stuff and she looked being teased about it...or when she was asked about mathew broderick and she made that serial killer face at rosie, or when she was asked about bette midler and she had to do this big shift before actually responding in any way.....aaaah exhausting.....i think she was getting particularly agitated about her career at this specific point in time....like ok when is everyone gonna get totally addicted to me already....etc.

SJP was so much more down to earth before she made it big with SATC! Don't get me wrong, I still adore her, she has always been lovely, but I think she is more cautious in interviews after SATC became a hit... 🤔🤔🤔

What guest brings up the ‘inadequacy of their staff’? She’s literally the worst celebrity to ever interview. It’s impossible for her to simply answer a question. She rambles on non stop incoherently.

Totally. It was the 90s though. If you weren't watching in real-time, you missed it, and there was no social media to loop it on repeat. Famous people got away with being repugnant a lot more.
