Seeing Sarah’s troop of craftsmen who follow her from job to job means more than just money changes hands…there has to be level of respect and camaraderie that is part of every transaction. Chris has been with her for decades-other suppliers like the bathroom fixtures guy in this episode and the upholstery guru are in episode after episode. People will skills that good don’t need to stay with someone they don’t like/respect just for a paycheck-too many designers/contractors WANT quality workers that they can get work anytime. So working with Sarah must be more than just a money gig--which speaks to her personality and professionalism…she is just good!!

I used to live in the outskirts of Midland, Ontario off Hwy. 12 about 2Km from the Martyrs Shrine. We moved to B.C. in 1969. I have been back to Ontario (born in Toronto) but live east of Toronto today in the Kawartha's area. You've been to our area, Sarah. I can't believe that I have been back to Ontario since 50 years. How fast time flies.

Love the new series. White NEVER goes out of style. And with the large overhang soffits, the white will lighten up the place immensely. As you said, put the colour in the accessories and fabric furnishings. You can’t easily repaint that large space, but changing bedding, pillows. slip covers, drapery etc is a lot easier over time. Looking forward to the final reveal.

Love this series, Sarah! You may have mentioned it and I could have missed it - do you still have the original Georgian Bay cottage (Sarah's Cottage)? You mentioned staying at a local cottage during this reno but I would have thought you'd stay at your other cottage!

Like Sara I want the simplest bathroom hardware too with the least amount of ridges and notches that trap dust and dirt and need to be cleaned and polished. So here is where I depart from her. With that simplicity in mind I really don’t understand the two tap - one hot one cold - cross design or not, because users have to work two taps to bend the water and now there are tow wet and possibly stay grimy puddles on the counter to clean let alone having two taps that need to be cleaned and the cross tap is the worst. Any Reno that I have done for myself has always been the use of a single lever for faucets. I try to clean as i go and the least amount of time required to accomplish that - more than once a day - the better.

Hi Sarah! Can you specify which kind of primer can be applied directly to existing paint without sanding? And can you specify what type of paint finish of the white will be sprayed on the walls and ceilings? We are renovating an old barn and thinking about doing the same exact thing as you are!!! TIA

Hi, we used latex primer and eggshell latex paint. It's always best to sand walls down to ensure a smooth finish. Thanks for watching! :-)
