Re: "Bad Taste'. The 'V' finger gesture is the equivalent of the middle finger over here in the UK (as well as Australia) - so it isn't the 'peace sign'. And in our defence, the US poster for 'Videodrome' is arguably even less spicy. 😉

Fun fact: Sarah tried to do a sketch for SNL parodying BODY DOUBLE but it got cut after dress. It was the episode hosted by Will Forte; Forte would've been playing Clark Gregg in the sketch and Kyle Mooney was playing Craig Wasson. The sketch was Forte showing Mooney his house with the telescope and everything, then they look through the telescope and see the sexy neighbor played by Sarah. The joke was that Sarah's character had really long prosthetic boobs, that she uses to pick up things in the house, do household chores like cleaning, etc. This sketch would've undoubtedly been great but it sounds like it maybe it was difficult to pull off live. Also, maybe the dress audience wasn't into sketches parodying 40 year old Brian De Palma movies :)

I wonder if that was a "peace sign" Sarah saw on the Bad Taste poster. I think that gesture with two fingers is how they "give the finger" in Australia so the one fingered version may be an edit for the US market to eliminate confusion. Haven't researched any of that just spitballin'

We showed Polyester at The Bijou Art Cinemas in Eugene, OR when they did a re-release. We had boxes of the Smell-O-Rama cards and they were stinking up the store-room for months until we finally had to throw them out. God, they smelled awful! This was before the Internet really took off so if there was such a thing as Ebay yet, we didn't know about it. Actually I don't specifically recall throwing them away, it's possible someone saved them. I probably have a small stack of them stashed away somewhere...
