That's how I got into her. Amy said her voice was like an instrument. Amy talked about Carleen Anderson and Donny Hathaway and I love them too. Donny Hathaway's voice is absolutely ridiculous. If you haven't listened to him, you really should. Amy was the one who got me into Jazz because of all the people she mentioned. I love her Frank album, it's amazing!

When I was younger, I sang Send in the CLowns for lots of performances. THEN I heard Sarah Vaughan sing it on a PBS special. Mic drop - it was the definitive version. Never sang it again, lol! What a gift she was.

Sarah Vaughan was the greatest jazz singer-period. She COULD HAVE BEEN an opera singer-easily. And if she had been an opera singer, she would have been the greatest opera singer of all time-bar none!

"The Divine One!" I wish I had been able to hear her in person. She is my favorite jazz singer of all time. Her range and interpretive gift is unparalleled. I wish this had been recorded so that I could have it in a better format, but I am grateful that it's on KZfaq. I mouth the words and dedicate it to my husband who passed away of pancreatic cancer. I lost my voice but used to sing jazz. She influenced me more than anyone! Thank you!😀

I absolutely love how she shakes her head when the compulsion is kind of getting out of control, it's like she gets vitally stuck in the realm of spiritual world and physically gives herself a waking point to move from one note to another. i swear to god, she is the greatest singer ever. that's that there. no one else.no one else.

Jesus amado, Deus criador que maravilhosamente concebeu à essa LENDA aparelho fonador tão sublime e raro. Falar que é maravilhoso, espetacular seria pouco pra definir tamanho talento, amor à arte e principalmente beleza.Redundância seria defini-la. Não tive a oportunidade de ver "Sassy" ao vivo e em cores (infelizmente), Deus, sábio como nunca chamou essa raridade de volta com certeza para ter shows exclusivos... "Sassy" só temos a agradecer pela estadia aqui na Terra nos envolvendo,seduzindo,hipnotizando com sua voz.... BELO... INSTIGANTE... MARAVILHOSO.. SUBLIME.... . . . .
