"His guitar was crying for help." Yes it was, that was Dimebag Darrell Abbott arguably the best guitarist ever to grace a stage. He was shot and killed on stage in 2004. It still hurts us to this day. Rip Dime, we love you brother.

I was fortunate enough to have been alive at just the right time, to have seen Pantera live 4 times. Twice as headliners, and twice at Ozzfest. Those were the days.

Scariest mosh pit I ever saw was Pantera in the 90's. Phil was like "I want this mosh pit here and this mosh pit over here to join the the middle for one huge mosh pit" and I stayed the fuck out of that cause I was a scrawny 14 year old lmao. Massive circle of huge dudes slamming into eachother. Awesome to watch tho
@billday2652 жыл бұрын
@@miked.1528 haha. I sort of had something similar happen to me at a concert. I can’t remember if it was Pantera or not, but I was a pretty scrawny teen, too. Anyway, this huge dude, must have been 350 pounds, was moshing around in front of me, and swung his fist. Hit me square in the face lmao. Another time, I was at one of the Pantera shows, and crowd surfing. I was about 6’-7’ above the ground. All of a sudden I heard someone in the crowd say “ Drop the bastard,” and down I went. Landed on my ear. That hurt lol. Good times. My friend was nearby, and they dropped him, too. He was knocked out, and we went to the hospital. Fortunately, he was ok.

1.6 million people, 53 people died, the “security” was the army. The crowd was the horizon. That concert was Monsters of Rock in Moscow, Tushino airfield. 1,6 million people saw Metallica, AC/DC, Black Crowes and Pantera. That was a legendary MoR. The entrance was free. 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

@@sam_james_18 Your thinking of the Belfast Ireland show. Same stage setups, equally large crowd (well almost). In moscow there were casualties due to a stampede and military intervention. I thought it was 51 but the article I just read says 53.

it is such a trip getting to watch someone new to heavy metal experience that first overall intense shock of what their eyes and ears are seeing and hearing. there is a part of it that is raw and somewhat uncomfortable but absolutely nessicery none the less and that part that takes you completely out of your element or safe place leaving you in an instant slight state of shock also draws you further in reassuring you that all will be perfectly fine and what you are witnessing is tramatic yes, but from another's point of view placed there for your entertainment and pleasure. anyhoo, that is how I interpret heavy and intense music of any genre. great video! good day😊

You were speechless. I love it. Just think, I saw this band in person in a small club, it was so loud my ears were ringing for days. Also, there was a mosh pit (a group of people slamming into each other, trampling each other) so large that I saw people coming out with broken legs, broken noses, black eyes, you name it. It was an insane experience, especially only being 16 at the time. Haha

Great reaction to an awesome track and band! Back in the 90's, my roommate blasted this live VHS at every party we had. Fun times! And don't feel bad about the guitar...those high squeals are both natural and pinch harmonics played through a wah pedal with TONS of distortion. Dimebag was a master at making those sounds. Glad you had fun with this!

Hi Sarah. Loving your Metal journey so far, and the glee you feel each time you are exposed to something new! So many reactors are empty vessels who are faking it all. You have a sincerity and believability that sets you apart. Not many Metal newcomers can cope with Pantera 'Domination' as it a pretty Intense tune. I think most people would agree that the essential Pantera classics to hear next would include : Walk/ Hostile/ Cemetary Gates/ This Love/ Coboys From Hell/ Five minutes Alone/ A New Level/ I'm Broken/ Becoming/ Mouth Gor War Just a few to choose from there!🤣🤣🤣 All classics. We'll have you head banging in no time! Hope you keep enjoying your Metal Journey, Sarah!😁🤘🤘

I am 52 (in 2 days) and have been a lifelong fan [read: worshipper] of Heavy Metal music - still absolutely die hard to this very day. Listening to [read: absorbing] Heavy Metal music is an emotional and otherworldly feeling that one cannot truly understand until you feel it sink in and becomes a part of you...I feel this is what happened to you Sarah. You were unable to identify what is was that you heard, experienced or witnessed and it took over...what a rush!!!!! Feel it, let yourself go, ride along, enjoy the sights and sounds and let it enrich your being!

A lot of people forget or don’t understand the struggle from where this type of music came from. At first it hits your heart. Then goes straight to the gut. At the end you will gravitate. There is no words for those who have been beaten,molested, dragged to the point in which they had no escape. This music gave them a back bone. A chance to rise and make them self’s feel better.
