Wow! Even though the paint had a mind of its own, you still controlled it really well and ended up with a fabulous result. The paint, to me, was screaming out firey aggression. It has an aura of anger about it. It's great when a painting evokes an emotion. And wow! What a magnificent 3D effect! It looks like molten silver rocks flowing into the lava. 💖 💕💕💕💕

I know you did this 6 months ago but I just came across it. I don’t even know where to begin. For the first time.... I get it! Watching you controlling your design and fighting so hard, I was glued. Never seen anyone work so hard to create their vision. I just thought painters had an idea in their minds and mainly hoped it would happen. Because you shared what was going on in your mind, I took the journey with you. Today I saw a truly talented artist, and I was privileged to watch her go through her process to make this wonderful painting. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you.

I was holding my breath! YIKES! That was hair raising! LOL. It had looked like such a promising sunset/sunrise. And the colors - so regal. I saw how the paint was giving you issues even before you'd mentioned it, but it was great hearing the confirmation of what I thought I was seeing. One thing I've noticed about you over so many videos of yours I've seen is that you have an ability to keep seeing the painting from a new perspective at any given point and I think it's a talent that allows for you to always keep realizing what the best thing to do next is. You don't get stuck on what it HAD looked like and then feel upset when it is no longer that. I'd have stayed locked on my concept of the beautiful sunset, and as it fell apart from that I'd have been upset and felt it was a wash. But you always easily let go of what you HAD been seeing and move easily into whatever a piece is BECOMING. You don't seem to mourn the loss of what had been cool and, instead, you celebrate the new nice elements of what it's morphed into. I don't know that many people so effortlessly do that. I suspect this ability helps you excel with your work. Which torch do you feel works better? If it's the previous one, please tell us what kind it is. I need to get a torch and have never used one. I've used a heat gun with my pours and have liked it, but I've wondered what a torch will do instead. Thanks!!
@SarahMackArt

So the hardest part for me in the beginning was letting go of my vision and accept what’s happening. The paint is always in control. Lol I’ve learned to see past my expectations and accept its outcome but that like I said has been the hardest thing to do. I have scraped so many in the past because it wasn’t what I wanted and I was looking at it all the wrong way. I’m close to being one with the paint 😂 and the canvas is just a device to move the paint. As for the torch...I currently use a Bronson Torch. I like it. But i like this new one too!
@hollyxo.

@@SarahMackArt Thank you for sharing this. I'd have never guessed you had viewed things more like I now realize I've been viewing things when I've poured. I appreciate your conveying that you had a shift in this area, as that helps me feel like I could more easily have one too. After reading what you said here, I can see also how pouring can help one transcend so many ways of limited thinking...if one can find their way into that surrender. Like some kind of Zen practice, or something. LOL. I can see, after watching so many of your videos, that I probably could have ended up with something pretty with the canvases I did scrape, but the first thing was I didn't have enough techniques that could have helped with how I could have done things from that point, but also, just being stuck in my mind with how I was seeing it, rather than, like you, more fluid in your mind....OMG....like fluid painting....the mind of the artist is best if its fluid so the artist's perspective can flow with what is happening, instead of being stuck. There can't be such a thing as "stuck" on anything with pouring paint because, as you pointed out, the paint will do what it will do. There is some influence the artist can have on it, but not entirely so. Yes, as you said at the end of your remark, you're close to being one with the paint. That's it! The more "one" we can be with the paint, the better it will go, or at least the better we ourselves with flow in relation to what the paint is doing and get better results. The only way to really be one with anything is to get out of one's head. I'll bet this is also how most, if not everything, in life works too. Maybe not always so obvious though. Woah, Sarah, we're edging on enlightenment through acrylic pour painting!!!!
