We moved from downtown St Pete to Lakewood Ranch, I truly miss that place. You can't compete with St Pete Central Avenue unfortunately, it had a real soul to it, especially to younger people like us. Shame we couldn't afford to buy there ;) P.s I really enjoy your videos!

It's so unfortunate, all these people have moved to the area. And people like this advertise it like it's so great. It's so overcrowded now that it's not enjoyable anymore. There use to be hardly any traffic and almost no northerners. Fish just jumped out of the water no bars Hardley and so much more open beach. Now hardly any open land what so ever. And the Yankees bulldozed everything to make it cement and condos. And tourists garbage. I would never pay as much as some ask to live that close to other people and with such a lack of privacy. Especially with all those northern Yankees from those big doodle cities. They think dumping on nature with big buildings on a cement seawall is great. Just so they can claim they view the water from ware they sit. Use to be one person fam that lived in a same size lot the size of the lot they build a 30 story building now. It's gross how doodles enjoy dumping on nature and serenity and living on top of one another. Far cry from what it use to be. The fact that she speaks so highly of what it's become speaks for the very low standards of living they have up there. I'll never go back there to stay it's a dump now.

The essential difference is Downtown St. Pete there is a small college campus adjacent and so has nightlife and since there is no beach there except the park beach on the Bayside, you do not get the tourists there. The problem with the Gulf side is that everything is geared for the hotel tourists and if you are not staying in one of the hotels, accessing what the tourists get is not so convenient. I live in Palm Harbor and I don't hesitate to rent a hotel room for a day for either the Gulf Beach side or Downtown. It sure beats the cost of Miami Beach I'll tell you that!
