Basant Panchami, also called Sarasvati Puja in honor of the goddess Saraswati, is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. Goddess Saraswati is considered to be a symbol of wisdom.
Basant Panchami also marks the start of preparation for Holika and Holi, which take place forty days later. I love to do decorations for the festival, and made this beautiful Aasana for Maa Saraswati. This Aasana is very easy to make and is made of items easily available in the home.
