sir, very nice tutorial. Can you tell me why only power led is glowing and none of the other LEDs on my ethernet shield? I have powered up my Arduino from the laptop and connected LAN cable from my router to ethernet shield.

Hello.. I want to connect 2 points A and B. Each point has an Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield w5500, router and access point. accesspoint in point to point mode and ip settings in 1 network. The distance between points A and B is 1 km. Can the arduino at point A and B communicate with this topology? thank you very much

Hi, After connecting with D-Link600M router, my ethernet shield is taking around 10-15 secs to be steady. But it is not reachable when I ping from Cmd prompt. Even DhcpaddressPrinter sketch is showing "Failed to configure Ethernet using DHCP". The "PWR", "100M", and "FULLD" LEDs are steadily ON. "COLL" and "TX" are OFF. "Link" is generally ON. but momentarily it turns off when RX is ON. Need your help in this regards.

hello sir, Great video, and Ethernetshield is working excellent on local network. But i am unable to access my Ethernetshield from any where or other than local area network. I have also tries port forwarding ,but no result. Is there any solution.

Hi, I am not able to upload to UNO if ethernet shield is plugged in but if I upload and the plugin the ethernet shield then serial monitor shows nothing. Only red power LED is glowing when it is plugged in. Is something wrong with ethernet shields?

Either your Ethernet shield is defective or your Router is not supporting shield.When you connect the RJ45 straight cable to the Router, LAN LED connection should show up in your Router.Then other LEDs will light up on the shield.If not replace your shield.

thank you Saravanan , even after connecting to router the LED on ethernes jack that are supposed to turn on wasnt happening , As far as I understand after we plug in the power LED and TX Led should also turn on and when we plug in the ethernet wire the LED's on the Jack should also turn on which wasnt happeniing so I have retured , unfortunately I bought two sheields from 2 different sources on amazon and both of them were having same issues. I dont know who is the reliable seller online.

Try with a different Router. TP-LINK MR3220 works for any shield.I've tried with many Routers . even the latest MR3420 of TPLINK doesn't support shield (both clone & original one). While connecting with some Routers LEDs glow , but DHCPaddress print program won't give result.TPLInk customer care is not able to give a solution or they do not bother about Ethernet shields. If you connect , the same Router with a Raspberry PI or PC, it PLINK works but not with shield. Go for TPLINK 3220 Router & use a straight RJ45 cable.Everything works!!!

Hello Sir. I have tried code for DHCP Address Printer but i am getting "Failed to configure Ethernet using DHCP" on the serial monitor. May be the problem is with MAC Address, but i have not got the MAC address with the Ethernet shield, how may i get the MAC address ? OR How can i solve this issue ?

use cross LAN cable instead of straight one... Problem will be solved...

use cross LAN cable instead of straight one if you don`t have router, other wise connect straight LAN cable for the router not for the pc
