(24:04) He asked the officer "what were you doing at the age of 23" . Because, he (the officer) was married and expecting his first born....just a normal life. On the other hand, Bhagat Singh died for his country's freedom at the age of 23. That's why, Udham said "Then, don't talk about BHAGAT SINGH".

This story is one of the stories of many unknown freedom fighters who died for freedom. Bhagat Singh as you see in the movie was just 23 when he was hanged but if you just read his views on world, they are so progressive even for today's world. He is the inspiration for the youth in India.

Bhagat Singh is the hero of every Indian youngster. Most of the kids have his posters in their rooms and love to play his character in fancy dress competitions and in school acts. His pictures are in most government office like police stations and chief minister offices. This is the impact he left in just 23 years of age.

The ending struggle of him carrying the wounded was intentionally made long to show how slowly his energy was squeezed out and audience also will feel energyless and empty at the end. Ram Mohmmad Singh Azad is a symbol of unity, He identified himself as Ram Mohammad Singh Azad' while in custody, showcasing his belief in unity, negating the anti-colonial sentiments a powerful message and an urge to the three major religions of India (Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs) to become one and fight for the freedom of their motherland.

Unity is a joke in India today. Communal riots, Islamophobia, tribes fighting, a state burning. National crime records bureau of India has recorded an alarming increase in communal hatred and religiously motivated crimes in India since 2014 under the new administration. This unity is just a word for stupid Indians to take pride in when we later lynch tribals, Muslims to death, parade women from minority communities naked, gangrape them and then sit on it for full 2 months claiming nothing happened until videos of such crimes get leaked online. This is the current India where PM is not accountable or responsible even if law and order in an entire state has eroded, he still gets to shut his mouth and do election campaigns in other state and foreign visits spanning on for more than 2 months, take his own sweet time to debate on it in Parliament, of course the supreme leaders image takes more precedence. India's latest threat is radicalism and a neo-Nazi like force called RSS fueling it, a radicalism based on a religion, the religion of the majority. It's members who work in defence will sell national secrets bcoz they are horny to see a pair of tits, share fake news on social media inciting riots and then watch gleefully as a part of the country burns. At the end of it they claim themselves to be the greatest patriots ever..... Haa Unity is the most hypocritical word for India of the current decade. LOL

Just FYI, the "Rowlatt Act" that the people were peacefully protesting against basically was: "The Rowlatt Act was passed by the British government to increase their grip on power over the common folk. This law was passed in March 1919 by the Imperial Legislative Council which gave them the power to arrest any person without any trial." Yup. Arrest any person without any trial :) And the British had a problem in people peacefully protesting against such an atrocious law.

Always remember, this movie wasn't exaggerated. There are numerous barbaric instances in our country's history, done by the British. The worst part is the rest of the world only knows Hitler and Stalin as the evil, they don't even know or acknowledge the EVIL of British imperialism. Some movie suggestions regarding India's independence struggle: 1. The legend of Bhagat Singh (In this movie you saw him, the guy who was Udham's friend/mentor, he is Bhagat Singh) 2. Bose: The forgotten hero (If you watch this, you'll understand that the Nazi vs Alliance wasn't the only struggle during this time. Bose was a major architect in our country's freedom) You should watch both of these movies...

First thing that came up in my mind when I was reading this chapter in my history lesson was 'how can Indian soldiers shoot their own people?' If I were in their place I would have shot the official even if it led to my death, you know juvenile thinking but years later I learned that these soldiers were Afghan and Gurkha. British Raj were good at their divide and rule policy where they exploited past tensions between Afghans and Sikhs or Hindus and Muslims and what not. They say history is always written by "winners" but perhaps incidents like these are too sinful from them to bury.

Watch "Rang de basanti". You'll find trio from 3 idiots. Amir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi. Movie is based on modern era but also has true events based on Martyr Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru's rebelion acts in British Empire in India. It's a fun movie but also an eye opener. It's written by Kamlesh Pandey, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Music is fabulously done by A. R. Rahman. Watch it dude. You'll love it.

Britisher use to hunt crocodile, with human babies as bait (Indian, African etc..). Yeah you read this, now read it again, and let that sink in. Britisher said they are doing favour to poor by hunting crocodile. this is one of few examples of British raj.

Yes... When I heard this from my grandfather, I couldn't imagine that... Like how can someone be this much cruel. 😢😢😢 I'll never ever in my life forgive British people. No words can express this cruelty.
