We have a tradition of eating Kabayaki eel during the summer to pray for good health, but we rarely make eel at home, so today we made Kabayaki with sardines! It's easy to make with ingredients you can find anywhere in the world. Please give it a try! If you make it, please tag me and share it!

6 Sardines
Salt and Pepper
Flour
2.5tbs of Sugar
2tbs of Soy sauce
3tbs of Sake (or White wine or Water)

I thought that was very sensitive and caring of her too. Coming from Malaysia with very different cultures and religions, I'm very aware but with Moe in Japan, don't think it's so common 😊

@@psychtank8681 relaxx. Sutan just imitates the adults shes with. Stop giving children more credit than they actually have. It risks making them slackers in the future and she will grow up and read the comments so please try to compliment her mom more, shes the true star of the show and the one responsible for Sutan being like she is. Kids only imitate as Moe said, good and bad. Sutan is cute for sure and she will become a smart and lovely kid if she focuses a lot on how her mother teaches her through words and actions. Go MOE! YOU'RE THE BEST! And dont be scared to not let Sutan get her way all the time. kids get used to that and end up feeling like you have to give them everything they want. Love ya. byebyeee

In Japan and even China religions of other people are treated with respect, even thouggh thy may not believe in the same , the only thing they want from you, in return is, thatyou not tryy to mission them. Thats at least my experience from china and japan travels (in China you get a lot of cantines and restaurants directly adressed to relgious people who cant eat pork for example, they are common in all provinces)

Wow, Sutan picked up new words so quick and she remembered the things she said from yesterday including about beetles and that she asked to go inside. Moe, I admire the way you're teaching Sutan to participate and she knows how to speak in front of your camera too.

I've been watching for a long time and I love seeing Sutan grow up and develop her sense of humor. It's really cool to see how kids start talking when parents raise them talking to them like they talk to normal people versus baby talk. Great stuff as always

Where we live we don't eat a lot of sardines - I think it is because we don't live near any water and because of this, many people don't like seafood. Most of the sardine that is available is canned and has a strong fishy taste, so not many people like it. But you are right, it is cheap and nutritious! Very high in omega 3. My daughter is around Sutan's age and has a great memory too! But she doesn't make faces like Sutan does 🤣

I'm dutch and most of what you can get in canned but at the fish stands you can order frozen sardines in a bag. Those are very tasty though you also have to clean them. They are delicious on the BBQ but some latex gloves are good for while you are cleaning them, as a fatty fish the smell lingers though it's not a "this fish has gone bad" smell and not as fishy as canned i think.
