Thank you, it's been a while so I googled your instructions. I had an Indian friend show me but that was a few years ago. I can recall that I hand sewed my pleats so I no longer needed pins and used a broach on the parlu.

These are so beautiful. I have always wanted to wear one. However, there are so many questions. If you wear this all day you need to go to the restroom sometime. Are there different wraps for different occassions. They are so beautiful you would want to wear them more than once. What are the protocols?

How are we supposed to determine where the hemline of the petticoat falls, is it right at the ankle length or should it graze the floor, specially if we're at a shorter height.. say about 5 ft. Also, i love how you explain everything so nicely.. theres so much charm in the way you drape a saree 💛

Hi! Thank you so much ❤ I think that's based on preference or if the saree is more transparent where the hemline of the skirt would be more visible to others. If this is the case going with a longer skirt can help for a more seamless look. Hope this helps!

Am a Nigerian and I'd really like to try this,I'm not that tall and I've been practicing with crêpe materials but my worry is that no matter how I try folding it,it still comes down at some point,will it affect the fabric if I decide to cut off some inches to fit my height

Hey beautiful! I's recommend tucking in more of the saree (length wise) at the beginning of your drape and taking a bit of a longer pallu if you can💕

6 yards.. for above average height (5'7") but not super tall... and 'plus' size.. like 14-18... i never have enough to pleat with.. or end up with not enough for the pallu...

Hi Tia, I like the way u explain how to drape a saree..but when I do it myself..I'm unable to arrange my shoulder pleats properly..if I do equal in one side..the other side pleats will be seen..it's not coming in equal please suggest

Have you tried ironing it first? I think it is possible because I have tried it and managed to get the folds nicely of course I used more safety pins than Tia

I'd recommend buying a longer underskirt and also trying to find a saree that's a bit wider than usual. Hope that helps!

Wear a saree for the right reasons for example an Indian friend’s wedding, visiting a temple or engaging in traditional Indian arts. Otherwise if you are just wearing it and not acknowledging or actually appreciating it, then that’s cultural appropriation

Despite being probably half of the views I *cannot* get from getting pallu over my shoulder to pleating. I feel like I'm missing... something...somewhere...and end up with this atrocious looking, bulky, messy *thing* in the front! Send help! 😆 (P.s. so probably not half the views, but I feel I could quote along, like some strange Disney movie.)
