@@JohnnyBoyChannel Yeah, I wondered about that as I made the comment. I know it's sensitive, but I do find it interesting. Something about the calm, precise energy from these two, but particularly from a young player, that I haven't often found in the male game. I think there is something interesting to be explored about the different qualities that women generally, or individually, bring to the game. I think it's healthy to acknowledge that rather than simply say it's wrong to compare. It's not about judgement, but what can the male game learn from the women's game in the same way the women have learned from the men.

2-0 or 2-1 to england. I'll just remind all the people bashing england, about the Arnold Clark cup match, 3-1 england. And Germany only managed to score from a free kick by magull. One piece of brilliance wont be enough to beat this england side. Need to score from open play, england have done that freely so far, Germany couldn't the last time they faced england
@dtrjones

That was a hell of a goal by the ultra-talented Magull!! Germany was missing some players too. You can never underestimate Germany in these situations, they have a sixth sense for navigating their way to victory with game management, skill, pace, and direct play. Having said all of that, I think England is a really talented team and could overwhelm even Germany, which would be bonkers, but we'll see!

Not the type to go into a game and think we can't win. No one is unbeatable. If popp started I would have been even more worried. Maybe she would have made the difference. Germany played better than England against Spain and Austria, and England also struggled during the first 30 minutes against Sweden. It is also clear that the Norwegian and Swedish goalkeepers underperformed in their games against England. For that, I think that Germany are favourites as long as they play a very tight defensive game because if they give England space to organize their attack I think the Lionesses might bring it home.

Looking forward to a competitive exciting final. Let's go!

So the guy asked which young players Sarina has been most impressed with. I don't think that's a dumb question at all! But I can understand why Sarina didn't answer it. She would want to bring back focus to the match at hand. Why do you think this was a dumb question? If I was to answer that question then I would say Lena Oberdorf and Alessia Russo of course but I've also been impressed with Selma Bacha from France and Ona Batlle from Spain.

@rasclotify
@rasclotify Жыл бұрын
@@seannetsa Breathe, man. NOT SO serious a subject to elicit anger, but let's discuss. Do you think the Spain game may have gone differently if Hermoso & Putellas had been present? I do. The Sweden game you could argue was their first real challenge. I said "RELATIVELY", that doesn't mean it was an all out cinch, lol. This tourney has been plagued with Covid & key players missing in squads. England did have a RELATIVELY easy path in my opinion, the group stages were easy picks compared to some other groups, the universe aligned for them until the last match (which they killed). I want to see how they fare at World Cup. Rankings are relative, USWNT is number one, but I def do not think we're thee best tam in the world no more so....Sweden being the favs/2 in the world means little when it comes to top 5 in the world. The top 5,6 teams could all be number one now. The gap has lessened.
@rasclotify
@rasclotify Жыл бұрын
@@dtrjones Its not a dumb question in general, just a dumb question at this point for the reason you stated. She shouldn't be and def is not wasting her time evaluating other players on other squads who are not in the tournament anymore at this point. That is a question for after. Evaluation of squads you are not currently facing or about to face is just counterproductive at this point. Their time is super precious, there is a countdown happening they need to be focused on the task at hand. But afterwards? YES, let's hear the coaches take on who impressed over all. Clearly, she felt the question wasn't worth answering either. I dont think it was rude, it was practical. They got work to do right now, no time to waste. They can do that on Monday, lol.
@CMJames
@CMJames Жыл бұрын
@@rasclotify Spain are team who consistently have no end product. I don’t think the game would of gone differently because England are the highest scoring team in this tournament and take their chances. So Spain having the ball was not a huge issue because when they had it they did nothing with it. When it came to Sweden, England won the midfield battle once they got into the game and conceded 0 goals despite Sweden having chances to win. England have fought and played well for their place in this final. The ‘easy path’ is always used against any English team and today will be about who is able to take and finish their chances. All of Germanys goals have been scored inside the box, 4 of Alex Popp’s from headers. England have threats all over the pitch and players who can also score from outside the box. This will be a huge test for both teams….
