My dermatologist recommended me to use the oil control face wash from cetaphil , niafine (Nicinamide serum) and the the 0.025% tretenoin we get at the pharmacy but she told me use tretenoin on damp skin and to not use any moisturiser which is the opposite of what everyone recommends so what should I change, also I’m purging it’s not terrible but my skin is much worse than before

I started using tretinoin 0.025 from yesterday, 2022,dec,28 😌 🤞 Will apply once a week for a month with moisturizer, lets see what happens I have a dry skin, with no pimples, using it for anti aging purposes, will keep updating my journey for my fans lol ❤️1st month: applied twice a week after 2ds week, no any side effects, might be a 10 to 15 % more dryness on face. Pores has gotten little!! bit smaller, laugh lines has disappeared by a little bit. See u again after a month 2nd❤️: honestly.. i cant notice any difference , laugh lines are less visible i think , may be, not sure. but my one friend said that my skin texture has improved, also said that my skin looked a little bit brighter lol. I dont think thats true, i love my brown skin. No pimples, still dry skin obviously. ❤4 th month : i dont see any difference, patience..

So my dermatologist suggests, "I use it 2 times a week". Just put the cream before cleaning my face at night, then keep it on my face for 15 minutes, and then wash it and put moisturizer. Online, everyone is using it like an everyday cream. Why so? I have a combination to dry skin.

Hello Dr. Ankur. I am using this same tretinoin cream 0.025% since last 3 weeks. For the first two weeks i applied it in a pea size amount after moisturizer, and now since last week i am using it directly over my face but i have not faced any irritation or purging.. although my acne dried out rest i could not see any change nor any irritation , redness or purging. I have heard that retinoids don't work unless it purge your skin in the beginning. Does it mean that tretinoin is not working on my skin ?

I HAVE BEEN USING IT SINCE 3 YEARS WITH BREAKS IN BETWEEN. MINE TOO DID'NT SHOW ANY KIND OF REDNESS OR DRYNESS. LATER SWITCHED TO .5% . IT HAS MADE A LOT OF DIFFERENCE WITH WRINKLES BUT ONE HAS TO BE VERY REGULAR

hello Doc.. my whole life i have mild acne issues.i started to use tretinoin 0.25% in February.. i gt purging it's very milddd.. it went away soon.. skin started to look better. but in August/September i was really stressed about exam n i missed using this cream. at that time i started to get acne. i thought it's because of exam stress. but it kept on getting worse. in starting October i became consistent, but i started to have more and more acnes. these days my skin is same as old .. too much acnes n black spots. may be i m going through Second purging. what should i do?? my skin isn't improving at all?? please suggest me what should i do.

@@charan7894 yeah.. i gave one week break. it improved a little.. actually i shifted from 0.025 to 0.05...i don't if it's the reason for this purging.. m really confused.. and yes, my skin very wired... if i sleep with makeup on accidentally. my skin looks so better next morning.. but if i go to bed with doing proper skin care. i will wakeup with 10/12 pimples.. that's why my routine is put coconut oil all the time on face n eat healthy.. i can't use any kind of skin care products on my face. just not at all.

@@hidamalik6103 Thats really strange..,i used a cream few years back for acne and its really worked but it didn't worked for my friend,, BIOTIQUE WINTER GREEN SPOT CORRECTING ANTI ACNE CREAM,,my skin type is oily prone,,,And u can use Niacinamide 10% from ordinary it will help to heal but use only 2 or 3 times a week at nights..,and Ice will help too

I have started using tretenoin cream for about 15 days i guess. It actually cleared a little bit my skin. I started using it to minimize pores and to tackle with my oily skin.. And Also for skin texture. Otherwise I don't have any acne issue though. But aside from getting a good texture of skin i couldn't find any other benefits

I’ve been using 0.025 from last 3 months and 1 week now.. didn’t see any results yet..I used isotretinoin 1 and half yr ago and the results were amazing..however I don’t have any pimples on my face after isotretioin, but I’m using tretinoin to get that glow and anti aging benefits..what would you suggest as my skin is dull and should I increase the %?

Did the pimples you got due to the isotretinoin purge , left without leaving any dark spots ? Or there were dark spots left after it went away ? 2.after finishing isotretinoin , did acne came back ? Did oily skin came back same as before? What was your dose and for how long? I know everyone's dose is different and timeline also is different , I'm gonna strictly follow my own derm's dose and timeline but if you could tell me it would be better for me to compare 🥺🥺.kindly answer

Tretinoin or even retinol shouldn’t be used daily. Plz stop using it altogether until these symptoms suppress. In the meantime moisturise your skin well & don’t use any other active ingredient either. For beginners once a week is enough after a month or two you can increase the usage to twice a week. Even the most pros don’t use retinol/retinoid daily as it is very potent & the most strong skin care active
