UPSC, the highest body of the prestigious competitive examination is in controversy over implementation of C-SAT exam pattern in recruitment of Civil Servants in India. Since its inception in 2011, the new pattern of IAS preliminary exam has been opposed with the Hindi medium students claiming that this will lead to biased results and would benefit aspirants coming from English medium schooling.
After the implementation of new pattern, IAS aspirants belonging to Non-English language background have been affected largely. Data shows that the students with Science and English background have gained an upper hand over students with non-science background like humanities or those who hail from rural areas.

जब की UPSC chairman के पद पर D P Agrawal जैसे हिन्दी के मेधावी बैटे है तब ऐसे प्रश्न पत्र (tablet computer-गोली कंप्यूटर) आ रहे हैं तो शर्म करने के सिवा हिन्दी छात्रों को और कुछ बचा नहीं हेै.

yes csat is challenging even for ifos students who are dragged into ias prelims only for 80 no.of seats....and just have look on cutoff ifos cutoff in more than ias...mainly ifos intrested students get at backside competing vd enginering iit students..... my ques is why ifos are dragged in between only for 80 seats all over india...

Kindly change the use of phraseology from ‘Hindi and other Indian Languages’ to ‘ Non English languages‘ to field it against ‘English’ , so that we get to reconcile shambolic state of affairs more conveniently and not to give frivolous suggestions as instead of translating comprehensions from English to Hindi do it other way round.(after all ours is a country where in some parts both are equally alien ) Yes there is bias against aspirants of Hindi medium but the bias is felt with greater degree by those who take to examination with Non Hindi-Non English media .

civil sarvice ke logo ko janta ke liye kam karnan hota hai na kisi vidhesi ka to English ki jarurtat kya jub vote magna ho to hindi ya kshetri bhasha me and jab ham logo ki jarurta hoti hai to English ki jarurtat ye kaha ka nyay hai

C-SAT clerical appitude test ki thrh hota ja raha he jo kwl english ko fayada puchhha raha he british kaal me b english k jariye clercks ki bharti ki jati thi or aaj b upsc usi disa me aage bad rahi he kyo.........kyo hum western policy ko aapna rahe jo kbi humare des k liye thik hi nh ho skti ....kyoki humari condition alg he unki alg......jb hum b vikash k us stage pr puchenge to hum b wise hi policy apnayenge......csat un english med. me pade hue logo ke dimag ki upj he jo eng. ko serwoserwa mante he ...aaj b 90% bhartiya hindi ya regional language bolte h...to me yh manta hu ki eng. compulsory nh honi chaye or hindi or regional lang. ko badawa milna chaiye .......csat hutaooo.

Why don't we people raise ours individual standard instead of lowering the standard of india's most toughest exams??.By the way ,CSAT paper standard is of 10th class and it can easily be solved by the 10th class student. But when we talk about of the comprehensions that comes in hindi and english both,simply we can remove those and replace it by the decision making or situation giving,statement-conclusion like questions.And i think this should not regrettable by all of us. And,these type of questions is for analyzing the test abilities of ours,if in any case while administering district ,to make us out from trapped situations/issues/problems ,at those stage they will help you.. And these issue need to be resolve soon after thinking everyone of us..

Mai ek baat janna kehna chahata hu ki prelims ki csat ki paper me 10 ya 12 passesges hoge kya upsc usko acchi tarah se translate nahi kar sakta.ye baat muze hazam nahi hoti.suna hai kisi software me ye passage dala jata hai use translate kiya jata hai.agar us software ka quality itna kharab hai to use kyo karte hai.kya hamare pass english ka translation hindi me karne ke log nahi hai? Aisa to nahi ho sakta....

The pattern was changed because govt was lagging behind the private sector in terms of quality,efficiency,productivity and general demeanour of govt's human resources.I have worked in both public and private sector and I have seen how pathetic govt employees' skills are.CSAT should not be removed.Instead more mathematical aptitude should be introduced.If CSAT is removed then we will have junior officials selected from SSC,Clerical exams who will be more intelligent and qualified than IAS,IPS etc which will bring their moral down.Morons cannot be given top jobs just because they have political connections and support.
