From my point of view there is not single solution of this problem. As a student I think The main thing is what we teach in our Universities. Are we really up to the mark to recruit in industries? We just passed our all semesters by mugging up the syllabus and hope that we would have any back logs. Our thinking should be beyond this.. We should replicate the curriculum of some top institutions how they teach them to students and is there any connection b/w companies and students? Our focus should be on research why only research came from top institutions? why not some middle level institution? So there is a lack of knowledge of some teachers + Students won't put their interest rigorously.

Focus on other sectors as well..Make Agriculture a profitable business.Reduce corrution.

Mismatch between job and education is a secondary factor. Primary factor is that there is not enough jobs for everybody. Enough jobs will never be created unless policy of the government is changed. Under current system, government spends most of the money, energy and time in staying in power, strengthening military, catering to neo East India Companies, corruption etc. Only peanut is left for productive investment.

There are 40+ lakh people working in IT in India. So loss of 56000 jobs is not that important And the headhunter guy (who probably has no clue about tech world) is already saying 15% to 20% i.e. almost 60000 (or 1.5% to 2%?) people quit IT jobs in India every year. India should fire all IT employess who work for foreign clients. They are keeping India backward by begging offshore/outsource jobs.
