Despite identifying myself as Native American (Ute, Pueblo, and Cahuilla) from both my parents, I'm not enrolled and to be a learn and compete as a dancer at these powwows, you have to be an enrolled tribal member and your tribe has to competitively dance. Well, this always hurt me from the discrimination and hate from the indigenous community. How can you leave me out because of your enrollment policy, and laws...
