@@phillyphan1225 It was probably a lot cheaper than an apartment and maybe closer to the studio. When my parents first moved out to Los Angeles we lived in a trailer that was parked between two houses. The other kids didn't ever talk to me. I'm glad we didn't stay very long. For our 25th anniversary our daughter wanted to give us an RV for when my husband and I traveled, but my memories of living in a trailer were too strong. We did get a beautiful van which we both enjoyed being on the road. Miss those days.

That dissonance is what has made me want to create a horror movie with a laughter track. After watching From Dusk Till Dawn and not knowing anything about what the film was about I was inspired and wondered what it would have been like with the Friends cast having to take on a similar journey whilst having their laughter track. No matter how dark and dire things get for the protagonists, the audience still laughs in exactly the same way. In my head that plays out as unnerving.

I love this. We lived in a single wide for awhile also. No extension though, but our wheels were off. The trailer is actually still there and it was from the sixties when we lived in it. That’s bragging rights there. 😜

@@catssherwood1254As an American who is very used to this class system...why? This is not a life you choose. Do you mean like, an RV park? Where people live in their RVs and travel? People end up in trailers and caravans and they usually stay in one place.

This is why I like Ryan Gosling. Humble beginnings and he remembers what it was like.... talks about it.... has a great sense of humor about many different topics. I bet he treats waiters and waitresses very nicely. You can picture that about him (or guess this even if you never saw him tip).

I used to camp at Yogi Bear park with my dad-- back when we lived in a one bedroom apartment, living on change under the sink and eating dinner on a cardboard box... I thought it was so fancy to go camping there... Now I'm privileged enough to be able to give back to others, and it warms my heart to to see Ryan living his best life now. So humble!

Went back to my old parents place and it's really not great place for adults to live since so poor, noisy and rough, with crime and too many people living too close to each other. But was amazing as a kid since you had so many other kids to play with, can still see kids running around and with bikes in groups today, unlike most suburbs now with kids inside.
