Melinda May is the ultimate badass. Complex... jaded yet empathetic woman with a lot of layers. More black belts than Black Widow, most lethal agent in SHIELD history. How can you not love her?

Mara Jade Ming-Na Wen did the speaking voice for the Disney animated movies Mulan and Mulan 2. She also voices Mulan in Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet and probably a lot of video games.

The most amusing part of this is that Melinda May is a 180 from Ming-Na Wen. Ming-Na is hilariously funny, but she's such a good actress that she perfectly pulls off the dour Melinda May. I love both of them, honestly.

Ming-Na Wen and Michelle Yeoh have the BEST eye roll in the business. There's one that Michelle does in Star Trek Discovery that I managed to catch a still of and it's on my desktop, it precisely expresses "FFS..." and Ming-Na does the same thing here when Coulson is talking to her while she's doing Tai Chi.
