I don't follow Calli enough to know if this is valid, but other commenters are saying that she might not know what the villagers even do/why its hard to replace them. Also they're streamers who stream for hours at a time so its impossible for them to follow the content of the other members like we do, so Calli also wouldn't have known the exact amount of effort put into the village unless Kiara told her.

@@suey1690 omg for sure. I know Calli is big dad energy and wouldn't have known that the villagers were prized by any means. Her being dad just means she's not well versed in the particulars of minecraft and she wouldn't have known anything about the villagers. I'm sure she wouldn't even suggest it if she did know.

Agree. If you check the source, you see in 33:35 that Gura accidentally placed a torch on the hatch while in the water elevator, thus breaking the flow of water and depriving it of oxygen.

what is kind of funny though is that it broke before Calli used it and she didn't drown. I don't know how Kiara drowned lol. It takes longer to drown than it takes to descend a water column that size.

@@7shinta7 Probably all of the above. She definitely doesn't know much about minecraft so she doesn't actually know how important or valuable the villagers are (Does she even know what they do?). She probably didn't see it much different as accidentally killing the horse Ina gave her, not good but you can just get another horse.

Yeah, Chat spamming stuff at her made me instantly think that Calliope "Contrary" Mori was pretty damn close to intentionally busting up Kiara's village just to spite them. Calli wouldn't intentionally destroy her friends hard work but she doesn't really understand Minecraft and her urge to spite Chat when she thinks they are backseating is a really bad combination for when she plays Minecraft. Calli doesn't realize that a wall around a village doesn't just happen so when she see's Chat yelling at her to fix what she broke she thinks they are just being needlessly nitpicky. She jokes around about killing the villager when Chat seems pretty protective of it, again, because she likes to be contrary. So Calli nearly broke someone else's toy just because she doesn't want to listen to Chat. I mean, Chat isn't always (or sometimes even often) going to be correct but when they're spending more time watching other members streams maybe pay attention before messing up someone else's hard work?

@@planguy9575 To be fair, after beeing regularly f*cked over by chat I could fully understand Calli going against it out of spite. But if Calli really would have been the reason for severe damage in the village (due to breaking the wall, killing villagers) and therefore destroying Kiaras hard work, she'd probably be really sad about it (maybe even to a point where she wouldn't continue MC). Calli strikes me as someone who's really hard on herself when she f*cks something up.

honestly i totally agree. i get that vibe so much from her and it's sad bc i want to watch her having fun and meshing with the others and their fun, but she's kinda... keeping a mental wall up i think LOL maybe she just hates minecraft.
