The answer to your question is because of their dualstic mental understanding of their own scriptures. Jesus in India challenges the very foundation of their belief in the divine birth, the blood sacrifice of Jesus by crucifixion paying for all sins etc. No acceptance of reincarnation, one life to get it right or suffer eternal consequence.
