Satie's Gymnopedies are three short solo-piano pieces each written in 3/4 time, and sharing a common theme and structure. The melodies of the pieces contain mild dissonances against the harmony, producing a piquant, melancholy effect.

Hi Jane thanks for the tutorial. Can u give me details on metronome setting ? Thanks for your help.

+T Walsh Hi T. To answer your question, I would have to play the video, guess a tempo (60 = 1 beat per second), then adjust the metronome up or down. I'll let you do it though, because it is nice to be able to find the tempo of any piece you listen to.
