When I was younger I made the pedal spin with my dads pressure washer. Unfortunately it was a cheap plastic petal and it blew to smithereens. Still to this day I'll never forget the sound it was making before it gave out🤣

@@David-vb8tg also how do you recommend cleaning? So no degreasers, and maybe no pressure washers since it could force water into the bearings and push grease out, maybe only car soaps? Since they are safer on painted surfaces? Honestly I'm just curious haha i m just getting into mountain biking and it seems there are a lot of opinions on what's right or wrong so I'm looking at what the choices are to maintain a bike

The big difference between Foaming Drivetrain Degreaser and a lot of other drivetrain cleaners is that it’s not a solvent degreaser. This means it won’t actively dissolve and strip waterproof grease out of your bottom bracket, jockey wheels or suspension bearings if you accidentally overspray or damage your disc brakes. Wash off after use and your disc will be fine 👌

bro as a little advice no hate none of that. When you wash your bike, whenever you use the water, don't give it to the discs since the transmission has dirty grease and all that becomes very polluting for the discs, I tell you from experience. It is an advice that I tell you.

BRO, NOOO, he put the lube on the wrong side of the chain,🙈, the lube goes on the under side of the inside of the chain because that's were the most contact between the chain and gears happen

you absolutely can't wash a bike like that! Absolutely! After washing, it is necessary to immediately disassemble everything - everything, fork too, shock absorbers, front and rear bushings, pedal carriage, pedals - dry everything to a dry state immediately and immediately lubricate with appropriate lubricants. Be sure to wipe the inside of the frame tubes and dry them until they are dry. After that, replace the fluid in the brake systems and shock absorbers. Otherwise, you will kill your bike with a bullet right in the forehead: aluminum alloy, various metals due to moisture become oxidized, porous, get microcracks. Even rubber and plastic parts lose their normal properties under the influence of water if they are kept wet. This leads to the destruction of even the strongest parts of the bicycle. Be careful, because this is safety for your life!!!
