I remember, from the 70’s and 80’s, a company called Edison, I think, that made the absolute coolest, totally realistic, guns, that only looked different from the real thing, by a little red piece in the inside of the barrel. I had a .45, a submachine pistol, an automatic rifle, automatic pistol, and others, but those were my favorites. They had removable clips, in which you put red cap strips, and as you fired, they would feed up, and especially with the .45, the barrel would actually move forward and back, like a real one. Only the top part didn’t rack back like an actual .45. The kind of thing that would have “The View” freaking out, in total, utter, hysterics. Those were the best toys ever, even better than the video games, which I have been a fan of since the Atari 2600, and have continued to acquire and play, even up to the PS5, and the computers, from the Commodore 64, TRS80, IBM’s, Mac’s, and upwards, to the new ones. My fondest childhood memories are of playing with those guns.
