Lee over at LHL does the same thing. It makes soo much sense. I also like to use grass clippings in beds as mulch. Keeps the weeds down and it's free. You might have to poison slugs from time to time, but not that often.

Can I ask , how often do you remove the mulched hedge from underneath the hedge? Also how often you have to change your mower blades? Top job either way

He probably doesn't remove the mulched up stuff as that provides lots of nutrients and stuff for the soil once it's been broken down by nature
