I can’t stop saying this: PLEASE STOP. Those plugged hairs protect the pore. So no dirt will go in the open pore. Nothing in animals body is useless and needs to be removed 😢

All imma say is there was a few times it looked like you may have caught her skin (1 of the times I saw for sure) and she flinched and you just yanked her paw right back! But what concerns me the most is advertising to everyone that this is something everyone should do! If you are trained you should have a warning in the beginning for only trained personnel to do this and if your not trained then I’m sorry… you should leave it to the pros… Please everyone: this is not something to be done by the everyday novice, you can really irritate the skin if pinched, if the skin is damaged you can cause infections (since the paws are not the most clean running around outdoors) not to mention if this is a regular issue with your dog then the very will most likely also prescribe/recommended medications such as topical antibiotics, antimicrobial shampoos, and in some cases even an oral antibiotic and in severe cases, both. Things owners SHOULD do at home are: Poulticing the area with cotton wool soaked in warm salt water, this softens and warms the skin, making it easier for the hair to 'punch' it's way out. In addition, this can help unclog hair follicles that have become choked with debris, trapping the hair within. You can also, as mentioned above, use shampoos and topical ointments, soak their paws in epsom salt baths for 15-20 minutes, or tea tree oil, if the issue persists then you should seek veterinary care, there could be an underlying issue such as bacterial folliculitis which will require oral antibiotics. NEVER PLUCK YOUR DOGS HAIR!!!! As for the keratin plugs as seen in some of this persons other videos and other keratin related concerns: Canine hyperkeratosis, (which late my springer cocker mix had badly on her nose, Rest In Peace baby girl ❤️) is a skin condition in which excess keratin is produced, in particular in the nose and/or paw pads; causing skin thickening and hardening, sometimes to the point of cracking, thus leading to the emergence of secondary infections. Keratin plugs are not the same and usually go away without treatment. To get rid of them more quickly, make sure the skin doesn't get too dry. Never scratch or pick at a keratin plug. Trying to remove it, pluck it or pop it, this can irritate the skin and lead to infection, you can use topical treatments such as ointments or creams designed specifically for dog’s skin conditions. These products often contain ingredients like salicylic acid that help break down excess keratin while providing soothing relief from itching and inflammation associated with hyperkeratosis. In conclusion: there are many conditions and issues that can be causing your dog skin problems and you should never try to self diagnose or self treat them beyond what the untrained professional should be doing as you can cause infections, injuries and just further complicate the issue. In my opinion this person should not be plucking their dogs impacted hairs simply because it’s satisfying to watch and doing this for views and clout could be detrimental to the dog, so to anyone who reads this, if you want to be a good dog mom, don’t post videos of you messing with your dogs skin, pick at your own skin if you must, leave them out of our “satisfying picking/popping/plucking” entertainment. I’m not here to to incite hate or to shame anyone, only looking out for the well-being of our canine companions, thanks you ❤
