"It excites something quite deep inside of me, this piece." Violinist Shunske Sato talks about the 'Brandenburg' Concerto no. 3 in G major, which he performed with the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach. In this piece many aspects come to play: familiarity, number symbolism, and tutti versus solo aspect. Sato has to be aware of these aspects and actively work with them.
Recorded for the project All of Bach on October 7th 2016 at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Amsterdam. If you want to help us complete All of Bach, please subscribe to our channel bit.ly/2vhCeFB or consider donating bit.ly/2uZuMj5.
