Here's a FULL series playlist of graphic design tips and hacks: • Graphic Design Hacks T...
Really smart designers know about these 4 hacks, and they can totally change your designs!
The first 1,000 people to use the link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare: skl.sh/satorigraphics11221
These graphic designs hacks are a good way to go about your design workflows as a graphic designer, and they will help you to make effective and visually appealing graphic designs. Once I started to look at my graphic designs in a certain way, and then subsequently apply the hacks and tips in todays video, I really did see a big change in the level pf professionalism in my work.
My hope is that people can watch this design tips tutorial and learn something new or simply to become inspired. As graphic designers, it can sometimes be difficult to find inspiration or motivation, so yeah hopefully these 4 hacks might steer some designers in a positive direction. My personal favourite is the colour rule hack of 60/30/10. That one really does help a whole lot.
If you found todays video on smart design hacks that graphic designers use enjoyable or useful, let me know in the comments section and drop a like on your way out. Subscribe to stay updated to all of my uploads and until next time, design your future today, peace ✌️

Because of your channel, my design skills have improved significantly and I just got my 1st job as a designer for a weekly newspaper. I try to watch every episode I can but am currently working on completing one of your logo playlists. Because of your teaching/communication style, I've been able to internalize the lessons very well. I enjoy it. One area I'd love to see you do is some of the more tedious stuff, like file management systems. Filing multiple versions, the use of the history panel for referencing different stages of designs and even layer management. For the paper I work for, a huge part of my day is managing our giant database. The system is good, but college did not prepare me for how to think about storage systems and archiving or even some of the technical aspects / basic computer science. College taught me a framework for design thinking pretty well. Most of my designs are for basic ads for our layouts...not a ton of opportunity to get super fancy...but I think there is opportunity to be a unique communicator through design with these ads. There are lots of opportunities for clients ad work to get a fresh new look which I hope could lead to rebranding opportunities. I notice that many of our clients think they aren't getting moneys worth if there is any white space without realizing that breathing room is actually working FOR them. I'd love to change this. Mostly I'd just like to thank you for your contribution to the design community. -Pat

Great tips video. Another couple steps I like to use for designs are: 1) Word mapping 10 key words and ideas 2) Applying the typographic scale - and only using notes within that scale on a layout.

I like the balance of your video between theory and practice... you don't spend too much time into the software or explaining the theory with useless details but focus on the core concept that make a design great, and these golden nuggets come in handy for both novice and seasoned professionals. Good job!

Hey nice video! It helps a lot. Can you be more specific on the word "Rag"? I didn't understand
@bezierswerve
@bezierswerve 11 ай бұрын
Rag refers to the uneven “edge” to your text block created by lines ending/breaking. If you align your text to the left, then the right side of that text block will be “ragged.” If you align to the right, then the left side will be “ragged.” If you justify your type in an area, then there will be no “rag” because the text is aligned to both the left and right sides.

Hi Satori Graphics! Thank you so much for your excellent tutorials, your explaining style is just fantastic. So many GD concepts flew over my head until I found your channel. Vector graphics concepts seem easier to transpose from program to program, but not so much raster ones.

I agree, that's actually a valid approach. Both are valid. It depends if you want the entire design to be warm, and if you do then you can use highlight methods behind the chilli. A similar approach was used in the Tobasco advert

I run a commercial label printing company. 100% of all artwork I recieve is 100% unprintable. Cannot be used on a conventional priting press and almost always on a digital press either. Presented as "press ready" the standard of artwork presented to commercial printing companies has deteriorated to such a point that we look at commercial artwork design studios as sub-standard, web concentrated individuals who's snob-nosed attidude towards the printing industry (where a lot of their work ends up) as priviledged snot rags. Your videos, BTW are brilliant, you need to educate those who produuce stuff for commercial printing - it needs to happen.

What does "rag" mean?
@SatoriGraphics
@SatoriGraphics Жыл бұрын
"rag" refers to the way in which the edges of a block of text align within a column or page. A "ragged" text block has uneven edges, with the lines of text aligning on the left side but not the right. This is in contrast to a "justified" text block, in which the lines of text are aligned on both the left and right sides. A "ragged right" text block has uneven edges on the right side, while a "ragged left" text block has uneven edges on the left side.

I understand everything you are saying but the only word I couldn't understand is: What does "Rag to the right" means? I didn't understand that phrase. Also Google could find the appropriate word in greek for me to understand that phrase. Please don't use difficult english words.
