I think your definition of how the vibrance adjustment works, and how it differs to saturation isn’t quite right. I would argue that the vibrance slider increases or decreases the less or more vibrant areas of an image, giving a more evenly saturated image. Where as saturation increases or decreases an images saturation equally. So if an image had areas that are more saturated or less saturated than others (such as skin tones, but not exclusively skin tones) then these areas would still retain their shift in saturation or vibrance.

Isn't it a good idea to increase vibrancy while slightly decreasing saturation? Usually works for me.

Thank you for the vidéo. Do you know exactely how works the algorythm philosophy of Vibrance (skin detection, frequencies...) ? I have similar question : Do you know exactly what this cursors do : Enhance, Texture, clarity ? Adobe doesn't give lot of informations : Texture : Enhance or reduce the appearance of texture in your photo. Move the slider to the left to smoothen details; move it to the right to accentuate details. When you adjust the Texture slider, the color or tonality does not change. Clarity : Adds depth to an image by increasing local contrast. Dehaze : Reduces or increases existing haze in a photo Excuse me for my English, I'm French :)

Affinity Photo offers much of the same features as Photoshop but is only a fraction of the price. Affinity Designer from the same company is also a great replacement for Adobe Illustrator.
