I think the talk trashed clue is referring to talking while inebriated so as to slur your speech. Trashed being a term for being heavily inebriated.

23A “Talk trashed?” I think it refers to speaking while drunk, slurring your words, not trash talk using an actual slur.

This was the first Saturday puzzle I solved without any help since I started doing these one year ago! Took me one hour, but not being a native English speaker I'm contented!

The Dorset Horn sheep breed has the handy ability to breed out of season and thus can produce three crops of lambs in only two years by lambing every 18 months. Most other sheep breeds come in season in response to shortening daylength and lamb 5 months later in the spring. Polled ( hornless) varieties of the breed now exist and the OG variety is at risk of extinction.

From the website used for the Scottish 2022 census which included questions about Scots Scots is the collective name for local Scots dialects such as 'Glaswegian', 'Aberdonian', 'Buchan', 'Dundonian', 'Ayrshire', 'Hawick', 'Shetland' and many others. Sometimes Scots is known by more general names such as 'Scotch', 'broad or braid Scots', 'Doric' and 'Lallans'. Some Scots words. Bairn, wean, dreich, brae, heid, doon, aboot, cooncil, hoose, lang, eejit, glaikit, bonnie, ken, fitba, lad, lass, stooshie, stramash, faither, mither, maw, paw. People who speak Scots use lots of these words and words like them. Speaking Scots is not the same as speaking with a Scots accent, it's the words and the phrasing that distinguish Scots speakers.

Indeed; hopefully I wasn’t unclear but when I said dialect I did meant it in the sense described here, I didn’t mean simply an accent

Nae mair would be "no more" rather than nae meaning never , but perhaps what Chris meant was no more meant never.
@ChrisRemo

Yes, I just chose to say “never” to avoid confusing “no” with the interjection “no”, because here it’s an adverb, that was probably an unnecessary bit of caution
