Stormy's former attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted that he saw Stormy's texts and learned that she and Cohen were trying to extort Trump and the whole thing was a set up. Cohen and Stormy's affair began in 2006. The two thought they'd shake down Trump right before the election. Now, Cohen's former attorney Robert Costello testified in court that Cohen said he had nothing on Trump. No dirt, nothing. Cohen took a home equity line on his own home to pay Stormy so Cohen's wife wouldn't find out because she managed the daily bills and would notice $130k missing. Cohen also admitted under oath that he was taking $35,000 per month in retainer fees from Trump but wasn't doing much work for him. Cohen thought he should be paid more and actually stole an extra $60,000 from Trump because he thought he deserved a bonus. So we learn that Cohen and Stormy are guilty of extortion, Cohen is guilty of theft and perjury. Trump met Stormy at a charitable fund raiser and had a photo taken with her as he does with thousands of fans who ask for a selfie. Trump is the innocent one in this, and had no knowledge of the $130k payment to Stormy when it happened. But! If he had actually had the affair and paid her hush money, that would not have been illegal. There are no grounds for the trial!
