For any of you nerds out there, the reason the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 is because that's the procession of the equinox. Every 25,920 years the earth completes a full revolution of it's "wobble" meaning it tilts from one side to the other as it spins and circles the sun. This "tilt" will be exactly as it was at the same place as it was one time every 25,920 years. The Mayan's thought this would be a full cycle of a year because that's exactly where the earth was 25,920 years ago.
