Definitely the most intense fishing game ever released

This is an absolutely epic shooter... This game was one of my first Saturn purchases, and I was absolutely floored, coming from my old SNES. Great video!

I remember some idiots who thought this was made by Acclaim, failing to realize that Taito's North American offices went bankrupt a couple of years before this port. And say what you will about Taito, but if Acclaim made the first Darius game, then we would have never gotten Darius 2. Let alone, Twin, Force, Gaiden, G, and Burst.

I still remember getting this at a yardsale with a bunch of other sealed saturn games a few years back. No joke, this game is stupid hard.

For once, SCHLAUCHI actually did all the levels, in contrast to fighting games where he only plays as ONE character, and doesn't even have the courtesy to mention the character in the description. Upload SEPARATE videos for each character if you can't do it in one video, which is my preferred viewing method anyway. Anyway, in typical SCHLAUCHI fashion, he doesn't include a proper description with time stamps. Here you go: 1:29 - *Storm Causer* route (A, C, F, J, O, U V') 34:54 - *Curious Chandelier* route (A, B, E, I, N, T, Z) 1:01:37 - *Odious Trident* route (A, B, D, H, M, S, Y) 1:28:58 - *Vermilion Coronatus* route (A, B, D, G, K, Q, W) 1:58:38 - *Risk Storage* route (A, B, D, G, K, P, V) 2:25:30 - *Great Thing* route (A, B, D, G, K, P, Z') And in more typical SCHLAUCHI fashion, he didn't do all the routes! *The Hysteric Empress* route (Zone X) is missing. I'd bet Zone's L and R were part of that package too. And no explanation given for the missing route.

One of the main reasons to choose a Saturn over a Playstation back in the mid 90s.

I forget if it was this game or another Darius game, but when the barracuda ships with the crystal dome on their heads appear, I heard that if you destroy the dome without damaging the ship, then you'll take control of the enemy ship and it will fight along side you until it's destroyed.

I have been waiting for you to do a long play on Darius Gaiden. Release that Black Hole Bomber! 😄😄😄😄 One of my favorite shooters of all time. I can play this and Sonic Wings all day!!!

G-Darius and this are top-tier Darius games.

Extremely nostalgic. Used to play this when i was 4 with our windows 95 computer.

Second favorite shmup to only Lightening Force (TF4). Thankful it was given a Saturn release and not end up a mess on ps1.

Bought the US version of this when the game was averaging about $10, at a price like that, with a Saturn on my hands, I would've been crazy not to have it in my collection.

So much more impressive than G-Darius. I wish it was ported to the PS1 instead back in the day, now i have it on the Taito Classics collection for PS2.

I was very impressed when you beat King Fossil without losing and without bombs. Every playthrough I end up using way too many lives and black hole bombs...and I've beaten U.N. Squadron on Gamer with an arcade stick without using the F-200 Efreet! Granted, it wasn't a 1cc run...

This is like fighting against the dominion of the arthropods and chordates.

The singer saying “Non-stop eyes….non-stop hair” in the first level song is so iconic.

I bought this game way before I was able to save up my allowance to buy a Sega Saturn. To this day I still have this game 😉.

Man, don't you hate it when you're cruising in space minding your own business and Fatty Glutton shows up in his ridiculous fish ship and starts blasting.

I'll bet you'd have most players and staff watching you, and that would be quite something. Had that happen to me and Zach with Super Off Road, it's one of the best feelings in the world to have a crowd behind ya.

Recently bought it,new to darius,wish I hadn't bothered This game is mediocre and cheap,coming from games like axeley,gradius,parodius,salamander,r-type and layer section to this is just nonsense,the only thing not cheap in this game is the sound track It looks good till you actually play it and them realise you just hold down fire and dodge,spam the bosses with your mega weapon and move on .. BORING,zero strategy,cheap effects and backgrounds and half arsed levels,practically no level design to speak of 3/10
