I'm about halfway through Saturn transiting my 1st. I'm also Capricorn rising. This has been the most intense time in my life. Everything you said was dead on. When Saturn was in my 12th, every structure in my life started to crumble, I was drinking all the time, and I got a DWI. My world fell apart even more but it was necessary for my growth, for me to finally let go of drinking and grow up. Saturn is in my first now and I am rebuilding my life with new structures. Ive become much more self aware and able to see my destructive behaviors and make true changes. I have started a health regimen of yoga daily and vitamins and eating well and yes, I did lose weight without even trying. Yoga has been hugely beneficial for moving stuck energy and emotions. Yes, I am isolated and I feel lonely, but I can feel my new self being born. I hold onto that optimism to come out with true healthy foundations. My personality has changed or is changing. I always thought of myself as more of a hippie and free spirit but I have a very strong desire to achieve and be successful now. I want to be useful to society. Also, my career seems to be changing or at least new opportunities are happening I would have never dreamed of doing before. I was always a restaurant worker and recently I started working for the department of health. Ive become more serious. Old friends have slipped away, I havent met many new ones yet but I'm still in my process of change. Astrology is fascinating to me as well and my understanding has deepened. Actually had a nervouse breakdown and checked myself into a facility while Saturn was in my 12H. Saturn literally broke me down. Oddly enough I know it was a part of my path. While there I met a doctor and I know in my soul that we were meant to cross paths. Also, for me it's been running tbh. Kinda makes sense because I am an ♈ sun. Also, committed to therapy. I have been in therapy on and off most of my adult life, but never truly committed. I attend therapy consistently once a week. Both, running and therapy have been crucial to my doing the work. Finally, focused on the woman in the mirror.

Yoga literally saved my life!

My mom died on july 27th 2021 when Saturn was 9 degrees sitting exactly on my ascendant 9 degrees Aquarius. My life has completely fallen apart.

Currently Saturn is transiting my 1st house which is Aquarius rising! Thank you this really helps, I’ll also be purchasing the book cause it seems interesting!

you are right on it. I am capricorn lagna and Saturn returns to my first house. BTW, my Saturn Mahadash started in Oct. 2017. I have, since 2016, consulted numerous astrologers and a psychiatrist. I started taking care of my physical body. But emotionally, career-wise and financially I feel like a headless chicken running around, with zero sense of direction :-).

About 7-8 degrees of Saturn from my Ascendant - my father died. When Saturn came close, about 3 degrees from my Ascendant, my beautiful dog died. I lost my soulmate. I'm Aquarius rising with Saturn conjunction Rahu in the 7th house. Yuck
